Part 5 of my #AmericanRevolution #vexillology series: Green Mountain Boys
Thought to have been adopted circa 1776, this flag was used as the regimental flag of the revolutionary malita The Green Mountain Boys who fought in battles in what is now Vermont, New Hampshire, and upstate New York.
Today, the flag is used as the official regimental flag of the Vermont National Guard unit as well as being used as the the flag of the Vermont secessionist movement for the Second Vermont Republic.

Ok I know it came out 2 weeks ago but I’m just now listening to this and, as always with Creeping Death, it kicks ass!

Do you believe in reincarnation? If so in what way? #spirituality #grownostr
Yea doesn’t really fit the theme
Part 4 of my #AmericanRevolution #vexillology series: Taunton
The flag was first adopted in 1774 when the Sons of Liberty had forced out Loyalists from Taunton, MA. The red ensign was a common flag flown in the colonies at the time, as it signified British commercial ships and commercial endeavors, which the American colonies most definitely were. The red ensign defiantly defaced with “Liberty and Union” was one of the first flags used within the American colonies to express dissension against the Crown and still remains, to this day, the official city flag of Taunton, MA.

Except in the metal scene. I can’t think of a better time in the extreme metal scene than today. Maybe, possibly 2008-2014ish but yea. 2020s extreme metal scene is so diverse there is something for everyone.
Phenomenal song!
I don't understand people who volunteer as poll workers. Like, you are already a slave to the govt, and you also want to volunteer even more of your time to them?! Stockholm Syndrome #grownostr
Part 3 of my #AmericanRevolution #vexillology series: Serapis
The Serapis flag or John Paul Jones flag was first flown in 1779 during the Battle of Flamborough Head. During the battle, Captain John Paul Jones’ ship, the Bonhomme Richard, sank, bring its ensign down with it. Jones proceeded to capture the British frigate Serapis, which he quickly sailed to port to regather and to hastily create a new ensign. That day, this flag was created, and was recognized by the neutral Dutch authorities, avoiding the British claim that he was a pirate, commandeering a vessel and sailing with no known ensign.
In modern day, the flag is also recognized by the United States Army as the official flag of the 111th Infantry Regiment and was carried into battle during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. The 111th Infantry Regiment is the only U.S. Army unit authorized to carry the Serapis flag.

Supporting #transrights and endorsing permanent, life altering surgeries and treatments on prepubescent children are very different things #grownostr
I don’t have to agree with someone on every single thing in order to respect them and support them. For example, I don’t agree at all with Jack’s transphobia, but I do agree with 90% of what he says on other subjects and I respect his opinions, advice, and judgement. In fact, I can’t think of another person that I don’t know personally that has changed my life for the better more than #[0]
I discovered him during the first few episodes of Unloose the Goose when they were still being broadcast on Pete’s show (back when it was FMBtW) I wanna say it was 2019 or 2020
