We in the tech world are in a race between authoritarianism and freedom.
Souls are overrated. I'm going to hell for saying that, isn't?
As federated and/or decentralized platforms become more popular, we are bound to encounter simpletons like that.
Bread slice + eggs + milk + vegetable oil + butter = french toast. 🤤

Nothing annoys me more than going that feeling sleepy at 23h, going to bed, and... keep rolling on it up to 4am without falling asleep.
Damn.
I relate so much with this.
Let's be real here: most companies are after AI just because shaddy investors demand them to make something out of thin air, so more clueless people will invest in stocks of this said company to raise its value.

It's amazing how governments believe that the solution for all human problems are always more tax for them to squander.
- Road accidents? Let's tax cars more.
- Bicycles don't pay taxes? Let's create a tax for point of sale for adult bicycles them to fund a institution to promote... bicycle usage (seriously... Portland attempted that with THAT EXACT ARGUMENT)
- Pollution? Let's tax whatever uses oil more.
- Hunger? Let's tax the middle classes more. Cancer? Let's create a fund for that and tax to fill it.
- People eating only fast food because it's the only fucking thing they can afford? Let's tax "unhealthy food" to promote healthier food... meanwhile, let's also tax farmers to the point that people who grow our food are starving.
... and goes on and on and on ...
Been there 3 months ago, it sucks. It was like influenza on steroids.
Mobile OSs are such a mess. They are cages by design.
Isn't amazing that we have in our pockets computers with hardware vastly more capable than any PC in late 90s and early 2000s running Windows XP or even 98, and even still we are far, far, far more restricted in what we can do with them?
Somehow I though it would require far more storage than that for a mirror relay.
I had no idea that Nostr relay software where so efficient with storage. Good to know! Tks!
The internet AI wars began: machine learning being used to block web crawlers used for machine learning.
Sometimes its amazing how developers like to waste time on futile efforts: I'm learning Ruby I don't know why even although I do know Javascript and plenty of Node.
It's like this eternal wanting for more knowledge to reach a unattainable enlightenment, that all too often only end in frustration.
I quote myself with just a additional tag, just in case. --> #Asknostr
BeOS should have lived far longer than it did.
Sadly, no. Not because I don't like it, only lack of time really.
Too big and I know that if I dare to hit play on the ep1s1, my brain will force me to go thru the end watching only it for months in my free time.
Greetings folks, someone know an estimate of the hardware requirements, in particular the storage, that's needed to run a public Nostr relay?

Being a owl in a civilization of larks is exasperating. My apex of productivity is around 16 up to 21, and without the help of a alarm clock I hardly wake up before 11.
I don't know if I'm amazed or sad.
