On the road to self sovereignty.

Just finished The Creature from Jekyll Island, probably one of the best book I’ve ever read so far.

So many author’s insights came true about the future state of the world. Impressive, but frightening as well.

Grateful that we have Bitcoin, but when I see how the entire world instantly changed its mind in a matter a months on the subject, I get extremely suspicious.

Blackrock goes all in on it, other investments funds go in as well, CEO who do not follow are replaced; The ECB changes the content of a paper it published about Bitcoin in a 2 weeks window; major countries speak about it; 12 months ago it was bad for the environment, now the WEF brags its merits; and there are now serious debates about whether or not to put Bitcoin as a reserve asset of the most powerful country on earth.

The “they realize they could not destroy it, so they embrace it not to get left behind” reason seems too easy to swallow…

Just my thoughts, Bitcoin is still, in my opinion, the best shot we have at having a fair and decentralized monetary system, we just have to be realistic.

What do you reply this:

« In a few decades indirect control of btc mining through corporate ownership or regulation could undermine its decentralized nature »

Meaning they could censor transactions where addresses are not validated or registered by a state and linked to your identity.

In theory that’s possible, especially when you see the strings some groups of people have over the entire world.

I know we could fork, but how long before they control the new network?

Who the fuck this dumb fuck thinks he is nostr:note1z43jrwr3d9kxgc2vpgzy4m4yfwuqczteee6lswm3qvuqz2qcegjqez8q8t

Gfy. I think the dumb fuck here is the one not understanding the concept of asking question to the community (you, in case you’re to dumb to understand subtlety). And as you’re fucking dumb let me explain, I don’t ask question so that incompetent pp like you come to make them feel important by bashing other pp, I ask question bc there are things a don’t know, understand and seek help from the community.

Also, dumb fuck, as you like to show you ´know better’ than people, here is a quote from coldcard website proving the opposite: ‘Using passphrases improves security and flexibility. Passphrases are a powerful alternative to the duress PIN due to the nearly unlimited number of possible wallets.´

So again dumb fuck, gfy

What I obviously didn’t understand for now is how, if I loose coldcard + reset sparrow, can I access the funds in sparrow ?

But it adds a layer of security right? if someone finds my seed without the passphrase they won’t have access to the funds.

Not sparrow, which why I guess I found the wallet by going in “open wallet” en entered password?

But I thought that by only exporting the json I would work.

Yes I understand but the json I exported was the one corresponding to the seed with applied passphrase. The transaction test I did was with this passphrase. When I reinterred my seed in coldcard plus passphrase the wallet was the right one. What could be wrong?

Need some help with coldcard and sparrow wallet.

I set up the coldcard successfully, airgapped, exported wallet to sparrow on my computer, did a test transaction, no issue.

I then reset everything to make sure I could access the funds not matter what, but when I exported the json wallet to sparrow its like if I was creating a new wallet.

On the sparrow menu I then found, on the menu, open wallet and found my wallet with test transaction.

So what’s required, besides the seed phrase, to have access to your funds if your loose everything?

#coldcard #btc #bitcoin

Exactly. It’ll take years, but it’s worth more than anything!

9 days in this new year, and I can’t take this fiat working life anymore.

Everything is meaningless, they talk about boring stuff, only think about getting drunk on the we, do not think for themselves.

I’ve reach a point where I can’t even make an effort to try and fit it.

Fuck this fiat system.

I need to start working toward and building this sovereign life from energy, food, communities, communication etc

Bitcoin changes you forever

Looking for some advice.

I am moving from ledger to cold card, fully air gapped, with a new set of private keys.

I intend to send the coins from my ledger to the coldcard by passing them through a coin mixing service.

Which one is the best? And do you have some and advice, best practices and tuto about it?

Thanks!
