Bitcoin, powerlifting, and video games. Psalm 26

workouts. Here is a good starting book for strenght++

1 book a week?!? Nice! I am probably a book every 2-3 weeks. Should at least give this a shot.

powerlifting. Very media intensive with people sharing lifts and what not. I loved it back in the early days of Instagram and YouTube. 2012-2016 was the golden age of this culture for me.

Nostr is for real people! Comments > Posts.

The reward for posts on X is leveraged by advertisers looking to rent out the billboard that is the profile. The advertiser don't care about your posts they just want to get their ad in front of an audience as they scroll down a news feed. Lot of people think their posts are good on their own as a result of this.

The cold hard reality is that your not as awesome as you think you are πŸ˜…

Some quick thoughts on X vs Nostr. Creating content on X is like raising a billboard that advertisers can rent out. The value the billboard creates is for advertisers, not for the consumer of the content placed on the billboard.

If one ports content to Nostr then one can quickly find out who the main benefactor of the content is. If one do well on Nostr then it can be reasonably assumed the content is a direct benefit to its consumer. If it does not then chances are the content is a benefit to the one trying to sell a product.

Sadly, it seems a lot of X creators meet this reality and instantly retreat back to X, unhappy with their results on Nostr. If one produces quality and edifying content then one will naturally succeed on X AND Nostr. If you produce content that is only good for displaying products to consumers that scroll by then you will FAIL on Nostr. The error I am seeing is that many of these creators will then blame Nostr for their lack of success when they should be evaluating their own content.

Nostr is not a billboard telling you to stop at the next exit for a chicken sandwich. Nostr is a kitchen for those who can cook a hearty meal and enjoy it with friends.

Prominence doesn't keep you from becoming a fool πŸ˜‚

I actually need to thank him at some point. About a year ago he reminded stacks existed. I had forgotten that I had some stacks in a web wallet in order see if it was worth looking into years ago. I promptly traded it back to Bitcoin after he reminded me🀣

I was very inspired by his original works. He lost his differentiating and inspiring factor when he removed himself from the work that taught him the lessons he preached. Going full time as a podcaster/interviewer/political commentator was a mistake. It removed him from the environment that taught him so many valuable lessons and allowed him to connect with the comman man. It's a true shame.

Uhhhh...this will not end well....

I guess this is not something I have thought about: Institute a CBDC, force it upon constituents , fractionally reserve ALL constituents money in the CBDC, invest(steal) the money to fund your selfish ambition...yikes
