Markets in January

January is in the books and has brought the following result: the commodity complex of Bitcoin, gold and some metals and agricultural commodities has performed best so far.

While a trade conflict initiated by the US government with Canada, Mexico and the European Union over tariffs is now looming, we are seeing better liquidity conditions globally thanks to a slowly turning US dollar and falling interest rates on key bonds (disinflation). This will be crucial over the course of the year to roll the growing global debt mountain into the future, much of which is denominated in dollars.

For the US, the tariffs appear to be compensation for the abolition of the federal income tax. This could see the country return to a fiscal regime that prevailed before the Roosevelt reforms.

In the short term, it looks as if the global money supply M2 will also turn upwards again thanks to a boost from the United States, which means that the credit mechanism within the business cycle is now stabilizing again.

We can continue to expect the markets to follow a 'wall of worry' and benefit from the growing liquidity.

I'm not sure where anything I have will go in the future. I have to think about that.

It sounds like you believe children are the only way to contribute forward. Is that the case? Why is money moving forward the only aspect you bring up? Plato, Davinci, Newton, Whitman, Poe... none had children, but wouldn't you agree that their contributions still echo through history? Tesla died penniless and never had a child, yet you are likely sitting in a building lit and heated by his legacy.

I'm not saying I am even close to the level of those people, but I do think there are plenty of other ways to use a life to be of service to others and contribute things that will last far beyond my years.

I agree, it does have more weight if you start your own family. But not everyone takes that route, and that is okay too. Not every person has the same path to meaning. I think the important thing is that as someone without children, I recognize and honor those who do, as they are doing something beautiful. It wasn't my path, but I support it. I'm not one of those idiot DINKs on social media trying to brag about how smart and free I am for not having kids. Those people are truly childish.

i normally keep my money in btc and a little bit liquid in usdt for expenses.

i try to buy my food in two shops i know that accept usdt BUT not many shops accepts it so what i do?

if i exchange it to Venezuelan currency im in risk that the money gets devaluated cause it happens everyday and really quickly in Venezuela so i avoid that by having a online bank called Zinli and i ordered a card years ago to be able pay with that international card, i have even used it in colombia and it works just fine!

What i do is that i sell only the necesary usdt trought binance p2p (with small feed) but thats Even better that the devaluation peace of Venezuelan currency

For 35.62 usdt i get 35$ in zinli bank

And that is how i avoid the inflation of My country
