Hi

Watched Ghost in the Shell today- I really enjoyed it! A lot more philosophical than I anticipated #nostr #moviestr

I see - does yellow represent shorts or longs? Or is it the sum of liquidity for both? Thanks for the info btw!

First, GM.

Second, any plebs with real estate licenses on here? Thinking about an open MLS over nostr but unsure if MLS access is:

1. Expensive, if not I think it would reduce the positive incentive for an open MLS (except for public, non-licensed access)

2. A walled garden. Something agents would not like the public to have access to.

Curious your thoughts plebs!

This is rad, I sent a payment but seems like it’s stuck marking it received - lmk what you see on your end in dm or simplex

nostr:npub1psm37hke2pmxzdzraqe3cjmqs28dv77da74pdx8mtn5a0vegtlas9q8970 is a life saver for inbound liquidity! Just curious why CLN and not LND?

Well ocean has docs for setting up a bolt12 offer for CLN to receive LN payments every block- I’m new to this so just followed it. If LND can do that I might switch in the future!

So I'm new to hosting a lightning node but nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze came out with lightning payments so I decided to set one up with nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll's StartOS, CLN and RTL.

Overall it's been pretty easy to set up! Also, adding in-bound liquidity was EZPZ with a l-btc swap via nostr:npub1psm37hke2pmxzdzraqe3cjmqs28dv77da74pdx8mtn5a0vegtlas9q8970 !

Here's a demo if you want to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghtKBqA-5T0

Just a shout out to all the tools that make it easier for a #pleb like me to get it up and goin - thank you!

I'm new to this also, but asking an LLM it said this:

No, you do not need a Lightning channel open to receive a BOLT12 offer payment¹[1]²[2]³[3]. BOLT12, also known as Offers, is a new payment protocol for the Lightning Network that offers enhanced privacy, reusable payment codes, refunds, and more¹[1].

Here's how it works:

1. A merchant publishes an offer, such as on a web page or a QR code⁴[4].

2. The user scans the offer and sends an invoice request to the intended recipient over the Lightning Network¹[1]⁵[5].

3. The recipient replies with an invoice containing a unique payment hash¹[1].

This process happens without a dedicated server, thanks to a technology called onion messages¹[1]. Onion messages are very similar to onion payments, but they're more efficient and don't require locking any liquidity²[2]. Importantly, channel liquidity—or channels, for that matter—aren't even required¹[1]. So, you can receive a BOLT12 offer payment without having a Lightning channel open.
