I think about 6M sats over multiple hops is my record, but others routinely make much larger payments! I’m convinced we’ll eventually make all our transactions off-chain, unless maybe we sell large islands

Udi still thinks Lightning is a failure and that you can't walk into stores and use it. I used Lightning in Uvita, Costa Rica at #[0] in a dozen different places. It just worked.
