Just a noob #Bitcoin

But Trump would have shoot you eventually if you had refused his lockdowns right ?

Yes but so far even through Mutiny Wallet it's not so easy to trust a federation.

Only 2 have some nostr accounts recommending it for what it's worth, and we can't even know more about a given federation by clicking on it to go read about them on a dedicated website etc...

For me Cashu is still more user friendly for those who want to play with ecash tokens...

Honestly don't know what to think about it.

I love Odell and the whole team ' (Opensats, HRF etc) dedication to support this space which is admirable, but can't we hear his point of view ?

Can't he be concerned by the "who" is funding Bitcoin development ?

PS: I'm probably missing a lot of inputs on this specific issue but so far, I'm not so sure that he is the bad guy some people say he is. He is just playing his 4D chess game as a big regulated public company. But I still think he is on our side overall.

We don't have to "slay all of our heroes" just because it's possible to do so when we disagree

Coinbase is litteraly going to hold all the eth tokens, in a PoS environment I can't see how it could end well for these scammers.

Nope it should absolutely not.

If something is "free" and you cheer for it then you are just a socialist I guess

E2EE DMs are coming to Nostr 🔒

After being nerd sniped by hearing nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 mention OTR for the millionth time on the Bitcoin Review podcast, I spent the last few weeks digging into OTR, the Signal protocol, and a grab-bag of other cryptography.

The end result is that I (am pretty sure at least) that I found a way to do E2EE (end-to-end encrypted) DMs on Nostr in a way that is both forward and post-compromise secure AND doesn't require any centralized servers.

And finally, the NIP (for those of you with bikes in need of a shed): https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1206

Huge thanks to nostr:npub1klkk3vrzme455yh9rl2jshq7rc8dpegj3ndf82c3ks2sk40dxt7qulx3vt and nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft for the chats while I worked out the details.

Yo. Sorry but as I understand it nostr DM are already encrypted right ? So what are we talking about here, hiding metadas thes kind of things ?

Thanks

Are you implying that they are refusing to participate in the development of specs for an opened standard for LSPs ?

Honestly the CEO explained on nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx's podcast why they didn't want to let users use another LSP and it was well explained and maked much sense.

But I think they should nevertheless stay opened to the idea of an easy switching tool based on these LSP specs, in case they are shutdown or forced to KYC for some reason etc...

Basically a "danger zone" feature based on these LSPs specs to migrate the channel over a new LSP for extreme situation like this on for example.
