Big Barry Bitcoin - Bitcoiner, pleb, developer, enthusiast, 👎💩coins Check out my nostr blog! https://big-barry-bitcoin.npub.pro/

These idiots think they're winning, but they're just falling out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Solutions don't just fall on your lap and if you think it did, you're a !F idiot who should !F yourself a thousand times with a _clean_ mop handle until your reach enlightenment.

If you start seeing a complete change in narrative, it doesn't mean it's right, yet so many people will fall for that trap and when they don't see both sides of the argument, they won't realize that control just landed in another hand.

I actually wish I could control X. Then I'd hunt and fish out "followers" and "sheep", isolate them and serve them "you are dumb shits" posts exclusively until they break out of it.

#Nostr is a better TOOL, but people will never be free until they learn to read outside the lines, question those who agree with them and either choose to not have an opinion on things they put no effort in to learn about, or put effort into learning about it well from multiple angles before having an opinion.

Also if you choose to have no opinions, remember that repitition is a dangerous drug. Repetition is what convinced you that you knew the vaccines were safe even though it was fed to you. This applies to wives tales, sensationalism, all of it.

If you have gifs installed, then when you type ":", it will show a list of gifs to pick from and then you can tap the "enlarge" icon on the right to insert the full size gif into your post.

There is no perfect. Password manager setup is the most well tested robust solution we have. Nostr specific solutions are experimental and attempts to create a nostr convenient solution.

I imagine that to open a primal wallet that can be topped up by Google Play vouchers, you have already performed KYC and when you redeem it, you will be logged in so Google knows who you are and what you are buying.

Bisq is just software. People play their individual parts and the system just continues to function.

Bisq is not a money transmitter.

Arbiters are anonymous.

No one takes custody of your funds in order to facilitate the trade.

Onboarding my friend, a total Bitcoin newbie, to a KYC service was a nightmare. While OGs might prefer peer-to-peer exchanges, KYC can be a major obstacle for nocoiner especially in developing economies.

A simpler approach could be a no-KYC fiat on-ramp like nostr:nprofile1qqswe03hyye2jv3msylwkj8cml8d4m9qpc5g0tccrvrrcm86z0kcaggpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtc54uwrd - it integrates with Meld.io for bank transfers and Bitcoin credit card purchases. Although it's not anonymous and may be more expensive, it offers an easier way to acquire Bitcoin.

Speaking of which, I suspect Aqua will also require KYC once they launch their planned debit card?

Do you have any recommendations for other user-friendly, no-KYC fiat on/off ramps suitable for beginners?

Shower thought: if you say you are late to Bitcoin, you are actually early.

You are on time when you give up that narrative and finally pull the trigger all the way.

Yeah, feel free to put in symbols, just don't expect all clients to interpret it. Symbols still have meaning in plain text in moderation.

What I mean is Amethyst renders markdown, but other clients will never support it because it was never part of the specification and this was on purpose to make creating clients for nostr relatively simple.

We could support markdown, html tables, all sorts of nonsense, but then creating a client would be much more difficult and we'd have a lot less innovation.

Why the f is it a "big problem"?? It might be a problem for the twits who "want what they have", but it ain't a problem for the department trying to do a job!!!

Imagine you are a shop and you specialize in buying goods in bulk and selling them on but now your mandate is that you can't work alone because that would be 100% male, and you need to buy 50% of your stock from women owned businesses even though they overprice everything.

You'd go out of business. Sorry, I know. Preaching to the choir. Just venting.
