(Funnily enough, these are the two laptops I was using back in the day when I first heard about BTC. I remember trying to buy around 100 euros worth of it (price was approx. 0.30-0.40-ish) "for the lulz"... and getting a message from wherever I was trying to get the BTC from that they couldn't accept my credit card because the service was for US clients only. So I just shrugged and forgot about BTC for years, and years...

So, I have been conviced by the argument that at the current price point, getting a rPi to set up my own BTC node doesn't make economic sense, compared to using an old desktop/laptop.

Now, the question would be: what specs should I look for? I'm not talking about the minimum reqs to run Bitcoin core, which I can just look up (I guess), but whether there are any specific pieces of hardware that will do it better than others, and what's important to look for, and what isn't, when checking out machines.

Also, is there an OS preference? I will use this machine for this purpose only, so I don't really mind running some flavor of linux or whatever if that's more efficient.

Will definitely look that up. I have to disagree about the rest, but understand that this is simply because I grew in an environment which made me strongly believe trans people have just as many rights as cis people. I understand what you mean about changing society, though I would change it in a way that makes it become more tolerant since I really think everyone should be treated equally.

Also, I don't understand how anyone can keep thinking the right is the right point of view since they have mistreated everyone different than them since the dawn of time (e.g. the confederates)

I don't quite understand why you would associate gender-fluidness with religion, as they are completely contradictory. Also, I believe the propaganda is fueled by rightists who try to take rights away from people simply because they were born different in this case.
