The ego loves to divide us into winners and losers. The search for victory is an infallible means of avoiding conscious contact with intention. WHY? Because in the end, winning is always impossible. Someone out there will be faster, luckier, younger, stronger and smarter, and again you will feel useless and insignificant.

3 - Let go of your need to be well.
The ego is the source of many conflicts and failures, because it pushes it in the direction of making other people wrong. When you are hostile, you are disconnected from the power of intention. The Creative Spirit is kind, loving and receptive; and free of anger, resentment or bitterness.

4 - Let go of your need to be superior.
Royal nobility is not about being better than another person. Be better than you used to be. Stay focused on your growth, with a constant awareness that no one on this planet is better than anyone else.

5 - Let go of the need for more.
The mantra of the ego is "more". He is never satisfied. No matter how much you get or acquire, your ego will insist that it is not enough. You will find yourself in a perpetual state of striving to achieve it, eliminating the possibility of never arriving.

6 - Stop identifying yourself based on your achievements.
This can be a difficult concept if you think you are your achievements. God sings all the songs, God builds all the buildings, God is the source of all your achievements. I can hear your ego protesting loudly

Totally 💯. I am not from the US, but have friends from there and I understand there are hunting seasons and ' bag limits' if that's the term for it.
Being the naturally inquisitive type , I did a quick search John. This makes sense to me , as the locals eat almost anything that moves here.

Well, we get by on other forms of protein such as chicken and pork, but mostly fish and other sea life, as I live on an island in the Philippines. Hence no deer unfortunately. I have skinned the occasional snake as there are an abundance of pythons, not very practical to hunt though.

During the late '60s and early '70s, Eric Clapton battled a severe heroin addiction, which led him to a period of relatively inactivity in his career.

However, with the help of friends and mentors like Pete Townshend of the Who, he finally managed to overcome his addiction and made a triumphant return to music in 1974 with the release of *461 Ocean Boulevard*.

The incredible story behind Florence's most daring sculpture.....
Did you know that one of Florence's greatest masterpieces was created with... dinner plates?
In 1545, rebellious artist Benvenuto Cellini began work on his magnificent Perseus - a 5-meter bronze giant that would become the symbol of Mannerist art. But oh boy, what a wild ride.
During casting, disaster struck! The bronze was too dense, and in a moment of desperate genius, Cellini grabbed every piece of tin he had - about 100 plates, bowls and dishes - and threw them into the furnace! (1971 scientific analysis actually confirms this epic kitchen sacrifice in the final composition!)
But that's just the beginning! Commissioned by Duke Cosimo I de' Medici, the project was plagued by:
A bitter rivalry with fellow artist Baccio Bandinelli (who kept stealing Cellini's best workers!)
A scandalous blackmail attempt involving an 18-year-old apprentice. A dramatic escape to Venice. The Duke acting "more like a merchant than a duke" with late payments.
Cellini becomes gravely ill from metal fumes (but refuses to stop!). After 9 grueling years, on April 27, 1554, the masterpiece was finally unveiled: Perseus, naked except for winged sandals and the helmet of Hades, triumphantly holding the head of Medusa with blood dramatically gushing from her neck - a detail no sculptor had dared to attempt before.
Art Detective moment: look closely at Perseus' helmet from below - you'll find a hidden face believed to be Cellini's devious self-portrait! Talk about signing your work with style.
Today, this masterpiece still stands proud in the Loggia dei Lanzi, Florence, telling tales of artistic genius, perseverance, and yes - the sacrifice of a full dinner service!
Fun fact: Cellini hoped to be paid 10,000 scudi but received only 3,300.

Hjaðningavíg (the "battle of the Heodenings"), or the legend of Heðinn and Hǫgni is a Scandinavian legend from Norse mythology about a never-ending battle which is documented in Sörla þáttr, Ragnarsdrápa, Gesta Danorum, Skíðaríma and in Skáldskaparmál.
It is also held to appear on the image stone at Stora Hammar on Gotland.
According to the tale, once when Hǫgni was away, his daughter Hildr was kidnapped by a prince named Heðinn, the son of Hjarrandi. When Hǫgni came back, he immediately started to search for her. In the older poem Ragnarsdrápa, Hǫgni finally found her and the island where Heðinn waited with his army. This island is explained as the island of Hoy in Orkney by Snorri Sturluson in Skáldskaparmál.
Hildr welcomed her father and offered him peace and a necklace on behalf of Heðinn. However, Hǫgni had already unsheathed his sword Dáinsleif, which gave wounds that never healed and like Tyrfing always killed a man once it had been unsheathed. A battle ensued and they fought all day and many died. In the evening Heðinn and Hǫgni returned to their camps, but Hildr stayed on the battle-field. She resurrected the fallen with incantations and the soldiers started to fight anew, and this went on until Ragnarök

These tunnels are still standing and intact after 3,000 years. Why could these tunnels, whose construction dates back to the Hattian period, have been built?
