FreeSpeech.casa has been converted to using khatru-pyramid for the main relay domain.

I should have said laptop before not even a desktop computer. https://github.com/grunch/rana

It doesn't take a load of processing power. I would run it on my computer overnight and it only took a week or so and mine is 7 characters.

Yes, that is what https://nsec.app is running. The screenshot from the readme describes my problem:

I must have misunderstood. I was under the impression you could use your own self-hosted as an always-on signer to alleviate. I haven't been able to dig into it since seeing this.

Researching NIP-46 capable Nostr signer apps. Amber https://github.com/greenart7c3/Amber and https://nsec.app are both awesome, but they are coupled with the UI and notifications, cannot just be left alone on a server.

The nsecbunkerd repo https://github.com/kind-0/nsecbunkerd would be the self-hostable software needed, but it seems to be not under active development currently nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft

Are there any other alternatives which can just run and sign as pre approved? The use case is sharing the ability to post (and other stuff) without giving up the private key. #asknostr

Did you see NoAuth that I shared on the other post? https://github.com/nostrband/noauth

I'm going to spend time today to move relay.lexingtonbitcoin.org to nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8's WoT relay. If you attend our meetup and nostr:npub1gvmc3nvmjekx7e0qlkeaqw2cqypvtqdcg4ljuz0wfj3zxjnnauys3ngk9f doesn't follow you please let me know!

The moment this kid stepped up and became a hero. I'm not crying... you're crying 🥹💜

In June 2013, Cristian Marian Becheanu, a 14-year-old student from Segarcea, Romania, performed a remarkable rescue. Three-year-old Gabriel Ruiu had fallen into a narrow well in his family's yard, becoming trapped 50 feet down for 11 hours. After multiple failed rescue attempts, Cristian volunteered to help.

Despite the risks, Cristian was lowered headfirst into the well, which was barely wide enough for him to fit. Equipped with a headlamp and his arms outstretched, he successfully retrieved the trapped toddler.

Following the rescue, there were reports of the town pledging to provide Cristian with a plot of land and a house, though it's unclear if this promise was fulfilled. Cristian did receive other honors: the emblem of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (becoming the only civilian recipient) and the Romanian Hearts Trophy in 2015.

This wasn't Cristian's first heroic act. At age 9, he reportedly helped rescue four people from a car accident and had previously assisted an injured classmate. Cristian's actions are particularly noteworthy given his modest background, living with his grandfather after his mother had left.

Stud

Mind blowing isn't it? Both at the level that we're allowing it but also that it isn't being actively exploited where this is a norm.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. This class was one of the most interesting things I did in college tbh. There were multiple students who attracted law enforcement scoping out targets. Kind of trip the class was allowed to happen.

Interestingly enough I proposed this plot for my Terrorism class in college. We were tasked with thinking like a terrorist and planning an attack in the US. We could use any philosophy we wanted but more interesting to me was the logistics.

I proposed an attack on the American interstate system. Using gorilla warfare to attack drivers then flee the area and regroup for continued future attacks. My argument was it was a soft target that is easily reproducible by the same cell.

It's also extremely disruptive. Schools close. Businesses shutdown. On the right roads you can even slow interstate commerce. If you're not caught in the act the fear left in the local community is immense even as you flee 100s of miles away to recreate the attack. Plus everyone has to use roads so it's relatable to every citizen.

My professor was unimpressed.

This whole I-75 shooter is wild. Police agencies seem completely incompetent.
