i love buying fruit and veggies from street vendors here in #nyc because they usually get the good stuff that supermarkets won't cuz they don't no LOOK pic perfect or are ripen enough they'll go to waste if not sold fast.

bought some tomatoes from a vendor just outside my oncology clinic. these are plum tomatoes; the ones that never taste right when i buy them at a supermarket.

JFC these taste amazeballs. they actually taste tomatoey.

support street #food vendors. they know their ish.

i have a question for our #infosec peeps:

it may be that i read a lot of USA-centric #tech #news; but i feel these breaches happen more in the United States than elsewhere.

or is it the case that USA businesses are reporting these breaches more. if that's the case, why are they reporting more now? what changed?

I believe in community but in the 70s when Carter first began talking about global warming, the general public bought into it. Who didn’t the corporations & they have gaslit this country with propaganda so they need to be held responsible for that nostr:npub189nhq0cw33243htm08c53vjvgc5letv7d9sgqtgqsn6fnx6dv8zs0fsatx

Reagan not only killed the program and rolled back the subsidies but killed every single project that could have made the island energy independent.

my hope is to go back home and research my hometown’s archives on that project. it enrages me this happened.

it's why capitalists unperson us & call DATA our very real bodily presence β€”just as they did with slaves & peons after abolition.

DATA is bundled unpersoned people sold as stocks, bonds, debt.

Institutions like the New York Times have an intense desire to be seen as neutral and rational in the eyes of people who at this point have no respect for them-- and this desire is so important that any harm that might come from legitimizing people who have eliminationist ideas just isn't as important.

It's a kind of affirmative action for conservative ideas only practiced by centrist liberals.

Can you imagine centrist conservatives ever even having such a concern?
