Musk got credit for flushing all the low level government stooges out of Twitter and then hired a top stooge to run it bypassing the need for all the lower level stooges.
His entire existence is dependent on government spending. 🤷♂️
The only thing he did was to make the grift more efficient so he doesn’t have to waste so much of the pork barrel on TikTok thots doing day in the life videos.
His post the other day insisting that he didn’t hire Tucker and anyone could do the same thing Tucker did was the tell.
He’s panicking after getting pushback from the people who control the advertising dollars.
God forbid he lose money on Twitter. And Tucker is a retard for believing he could escape them by running to Twitter.

It is imperative to the proper functioning of society that theater kids get the shit kicked out of them any time they get ideas about seizing power over any system. At any age.
If you were curious what it would take for a crazy homeless black dude in NYC to be held accountable, this is apparently it.
Tyranny is common sense to most people. 🤷♂️
Yesterday, as we worked through the mempool backlog, PNGs represented less than 5% of the total inscriptions included in blocks. But they paid the majority of the fees paid by inscription transactions and they represented the majority of the space used by inscriptions.

Here I am impressed how well my bottom of the barrel Nuc with 2TB NVME and 8GB of RAM is handling the thrashing I’m giving its bitcoin RPC interface while I process all transactions since last December.
That is quite a setup you have. I’m officially jealous of it. 👍
Danielle DiMartino Booth is great, to a point. But she veers off a cliff into normie moron land pretty quickly. The best illustration of that is the fact that she constantly says she’s moving to Australia if the US returns to ZIRP.
Australia is already lost. I get why she says it, English speaking developed country in the East, but they are already solidly under the thumb of the commie globohomos.
With perfect hindsight it’s now obvious they were already lost when they confiscated the guns back in 1996.
The backstory, according to Reddit.
She apparently ended up with 120 days in jail instead of the 10 days. 🤣
Dates, time zones, and daylight savings have been the biggest pains in my ass over 30 years of computer programming.
MySQL won’t let you insert the time “2023-03-12 02:00:55” into a timestamp column. It knows enough to know that time doesn’t exist, but it doesn’t know enough to interpret it as “2023-03-12 03:00:55”. 🤦♂️
They are set up to suffer the maximum consequences for their hubris.
Keynesianism was the perfect communist trap and God used Satoshi to ensnare them in it.
I managed to process a bunch more data last night and have stats going back 50 days now.
It’s interesting to see how as the number of inscriptions has gone way up, the amount of space wasted has gone way down.
SVG is getting more popular as an image format for inscriptions too and that’s probably related to the fact that you can get a much better looking image at smaller sizes when using vector graphics instead of raster graphics. SVGZ would be even better but that would probably be trickier since there doesn’t seem to be a separate mime type for it and clients would probably have a hard time dealing with them in a consistent way.

A cool feature of Highcharts, which is the charting library I’m using, is that you can view and download the data for any chart if you want to play with it yourself.

There were 8 days in April when more inscriptions were written than yesterday and 11 of the last 30 days had more inscriptions written than yesterday.
Their impatience was probably temporary.
There were more inscriptions written yesterday than Monday or Tuesday and yet fees were down.
Also, SVG is becoming more popular.

Still a work in progress, but if you want to look at the interactive versions of the charts I’m working on, there are now 2 pages available to show some stats by category and by content type for the last 30 days.
After the last 3 years, you would think people would be cautious about calling the end of the world with no data. Alas, it seems some people will never learn.

This is interesting too. As the cost has increased, the amount of space wasted has decreased. I’ve been assuming the more wasteful types of inscriptions would get priced out as fees increased and this seems to track with that.
Hard to know if that’s just because the same retards who were focused on images have now shifted to text based tokens or what. Interesting nonetheless.

👀🤣

There are many people “minting” crap. I’m assuming they are treating it like a lottery ticket and each spends a relatively small amount in the hopes they’ll get rich.
Collectively they are just transferring their valuable sats to the miners doing useful work. 🤷♂️
They spent more than 85 bitcoin to write json to the timechain today. More than 3.5 bitcoin/hour.
≈40 megabytes of 💩
62.4K sats per json blob @ an avg fee rate of 363.52 sats/vB. Average size of 343 bytes and 174 vB.
Yeah, that’s definitely cheap deli ham with probably some type of steak sauce or something.
One reason I want land is so I can put a remote control telescope in a dome on it and use it for astrophotography.
For the price of a midrange bass boat, you can buy an insane remote astrophotography setup.

I’m not forgiving or excusing the scam, but anyone ordering a Wagyu steak sandwich from a concession counter is buying the $PEPE of sandwiches and they bear a lot of responsibility for whatever happens after that. 🤣
Note: I’m assuming he did it for the story and I don’t even begrudge him that, it’s an amusing story. 🤷♂️

If California pays $1.2M in reparations payments per person, I wonder if they’ll make those payments tax exempt for state tax purposes. The Feds definitely won’t.
Almost $500K/person going to federal taxes. That would be an interesting use of state tax money.
Note: I don’t expect it to actually happen, but it’s interesting to think through the tax implications if it did. Would the state withhold federal taxes or leave it up to the taxpayers to handle paying their federal taxes properly? Those new IRS could end up being pretty busy. 🤣
People getting electrocuted or run over by a train because they jumped on the subway tracks sounds like a solution rather than a problem. 🤷♂️
Tell me about it. Big and small too. We competed against a multibillion dollar multinational company for a decade. Some midwit middle manager had a line on his marketing budget dedicated to “destroy Bourbonic’s business”. And it was a tiny fraction of his total budget.
They took our 3rd customer on an all expenses paid trip to the Caribbean to try to win him over our second year in business and they offered to pay another of our customers a net $50K/year to stop using our product in our fourth year.
We still outcompeted them and they are no longer even marketing that product in our main niche. But it sucked having to compete against infinitely deep free money pockets for a decade.
We aren’t even close to positive real interest rates yet and the Ponzis have been dropping left and right for a year now. I’ve been waiting for this for 15 years.
Pausing in the middle of your hours long tirade about how much money 4x higher fees are costing you every year, as a North American businessman, to brag about how little you paid your local farmer in a much poorer LatAm country is a choice. It’s not a good choice, but it is certainly a choice.
9,300 sats. I’ve sent bigger zaps for mediocre dick jokes for fuck’s sake.

If your business depends on a low fee rate environment you might not have a long term viable business model. Adapt or die, just quit whining.
The first time I programmed a computer in 1986 I felt like a wizard. This week I’ve felt that feeling again for the first time since about 2007. Thanks to ChatGPT.
It’s like having a chess computer for anything you can learn about on the internet.
Prediction: Humans+AI will beat either the best AI or the best human alone for the foreseeable future. Kasparov (an insufferable Neocon on most topics) has been talking about this for decades.
4 billion years of evolution is a lot of computational irreducibility to overcome.
Now, once I get my inscriptions stats project done I need to spend time getting a local LLM model running so I can do some custom model training.
It’s an exciting time, even with all the chaos of 🤡🌎.

Yeah, for large transactions, a high rate that represents a tiny fraction of the total is understandable.
3,923 sats/vB, people are losing their damn minds. 🤣

My first full time job as an adult was as a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional Assistant (nurses aide at a facility for the mentally retarded).
We had one autistic patient named Bill who loved trains and had a colostomy bag. He would throw his colostomy bag across the room and nail someone with his shit any time someone pissed him off for the slightest offense.
He liked me so I never got hit with it, but I had to clean up the mess a few times. The smell was something else.
Some of the autists on Bitcoin Twitter remind me of Bill. Bitcoin is their train and they are quick to fling shit like an unhinged monkey over anything.

I like Padron Family Reserve Maduros and several Davidoff varieties (Nicaragua box pressed, Churchill Late Hour, and some of their limited editions). There are much cheaper options available, but those are my favorites.
One of the great things about cigars is that there are so many options and you can spend years exploring them and finding what you like. Lots of options and variety in the $10-$15 range. Once you find what you like there, it’s easy to find premium special occasion cigars that are similar but much more special. The age of the tobacco can dramatically influence the experience (and price), but when starting out it’s hard to appreciate some of those subtleties.
