Agreed. Bitcoin exposes truth whereas fiat has a tendency to distort it. Once people realize that Bitcoin is an economic system that tries to account for truth, they then question 1) where else in my life have I not been seeking truth or didn’t know about the truth; 2) how can I do better in my life. That’s why there are many anecdotes from Bitcoiners that report changing their health habits after holding bitcoin because they realize they were following diets or advice that was not conducive to the truth of their bodies. Also, they take more personal responsibility over their lives then they did before rather than exporting to others. I find this is fascinating. There is something about fiat money that is indeed unhealthy that warrants more examination and discussion.
Great alignment. Thank you and the team for all the hard work. Enjoyed hearing you speak on the show.
Currently exploring various social media platforms and their reach to try and engage bitcoin beginners and those interested in bitcoin and its relationship health/well-being. Published first interview with Dr Satoshi, a hospitalist, on YouTube just over a week ago. Link below.
Will be testing other discussion topics and formats in the future. Suggestions welcome!
#Doc Chain still working on MedSchlr project. Should any doctors/health professionals like to identify seminal/high quality medical and health related peer-reviewed articles, discipline critical works, YouTube videos , peer reviewed articles etc. let nostr:nprofile1qqsdcnxssmxheed3sv4d7n7azggj3xyq6tr799dukrngfsq6emnhcpspr3mhxue69uhhg6r9vd5hgctyv4kzumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcwgpwhx and I know as an instance of Alexandria ( https://alexandria.gitcitadel.eu ) is created to be a repository of medical and health information/evidence. Abstract
The Problem:
Currently, finding reliable health and medical information online is challenging. Search engines often show biased results influenced by third parties, and many health and medical related databases are controlled by entities with their own interests. While there have been attempts to create open access health and medical information repositories, they still rely on traditional internet platforms that can control what information people see.
The Technology:
MedSchlr is built on two key technologies:
1) Alexandria - This is a specialized editor and generator for creating and sharing long-form content using the Nostr protocol.
Source: https://alexandria.gitcitadel.eu
Using an instance of Alexandria to build MedSchlr, allows for the creation of an interactive health and medical information repository.
2) Nostr (Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays) - This is an open protocol that enables truly decentralized communication. Unlike traditional platforms, nostr allows users to share information without relying on any central authority. It works through a network of relay servers that help transmit messages, making it resistant to censorship and control. Key Pairs and Authentication - Users have public-private key pairs that allow them to sign their notes cryptographically. This ensures that all shared information can be verified as coming from legitimate sources, while allowing users to maintain control over their identity and content.

By leveraging Alexandria and nostr, we can directly minimize the problems of centralized control and biased information in healthcare. Nostr's decentralized protocol ensures that no single entity can control or censor health and medical information, while Alexandria's specialized platform enables the creation of more open and interactive content. This combination creates a resilient system where health and medical knowledge can be shared freely and transparently.
Solution: MedSchlr
Using Alexandria and nostr, we're building an app where:
A) Open source historical and current published health-related and medical information (articles, books, blogs etc.) is available with interactive features for reader engagement and commenting
B) Users can publish, find, and read credible health and medical writings such as habla.news/u/kamoweasel@primal.net and https://www.runningapollo.com/whitepaper
C) Educational health and medical content and videos, blogs, etc. are easily accessible
D) User profile types (badges) to distinguish note publisher credentials to add a layer of social trust
E) Healthcare professionals/researchers can raise funding for health and medical research as well as initiatives through zaps
Our goal is to create a decentralized, censorship-resistant app that broadens access to health and medical knowledge. By combining open protocols with peer review/social trust mechanisms, we aim to build a resource where healthcare professionals and users can collaborate, share quality information, and advance health and medical understanding minimizing interference from centralized authorities or commercial interests.
App Development Timeline
MedSchlr is currently participating in the Nosfabrica challenge to kickstart initial development. Development is occurring incrementally thus starting with a MVP and then evolving from there. If you haven't indicated interest already and are interested in contributing to this project, please note your interest by May 1st, 2025.
Future Vision
Looking ahead, we envision Medschlr evolving to revolutionize how health and medical knowledge is published, shared, reviewed and interpreted with. Future iterations could transform the traditional peer review process by:
- Reducing bureaucratic barriers while maintaining rigorous scientific standards
- Creating more transparent review processes
- Minimizing institutional bias
- Enabling faster dissemination of important and health and medical findings
-Engaging various users types
This reimagined approach to publishing could help accelerate the advancement of health and medical knowledge while maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity.
No problem if you like reading and interacting with health evidence your thoughts will be invaluable to shaping the repository/publishing instance.

Would be include his work.
Excellent thanks! Looping in nostr:nprofile1qqsdcnxssmxheed3sv4d7n7azggj3xyq6tr799dukrngfsq6emnhcpspr3mhxue69uhhg6r9vd5hgctyv4kzumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcwgpwhx to include in the repository.
First we are aiming to build a knowledge base of health information (peer reviewed articles, blogs, etc). So at first it might be more provider/ researcher oriented (e.g. exchanging ideas on medical and health science publications) but could prove to be helpful for doctor and patient communications around health evidence.
Thank you for your questions. To clarify it is meant to be a repository for health information like peer reviewed articles, blogs, etc. That’s why it’s being built on Alexandria. The aim is to have a censorship resistant place where people can publish, and comment on medical/health related content. Could also potentially be used for information sharing between patient and provider.

Reading old health texts pre-1900s, some things are so wrong but some observations are so right….
“Fear….It takes from him reflection, power, resolution and judgment; and in short all that dignity and greatness of soul… It has great influence on occasioning, aggravating and producing disease.” - Gunn’s Domestic Medicine (1836)
If we cared to promote health in our environments we would reduce fear appeals in media and take a constructive approach to communicating problems in a way that engenders a sense of agency that we can overcome.
nostr provides a beautiful protocol that allows us to overcome the tendency to stoke fear and exchange ideas in thoughtful discourse. Is it perfect no but it presents a meaningful alternative.
Thankful for all of the developers and content creators who are moving this bright future ahead. Freedom tech helps us move beyond fear.
nostr:nprofile1qqsgknj3yzu4glzdzpy82r08wqggxvx0vdwpecjulvvtx2vj4qc3teqjzam9l following up on the previous note, do you have an hour this month or in March for a chat about how BTC is being integrated into Healthforce?
That’s awesome! I’m working on some long form writing on Bitcoin and Health. I’ll be keen to reach out in the new year to highlight what Healthforce is doing should you/ the organization be interested.
