I don't think anyone advocating for fixing filters expects to block all spam. Spam/arbitrary data will always be a part of Bitcoin and why OP_Return exists. Handling inscriptions (yet another method of storing arbitrary data in Bitcoin, certainly won't be the last) by subjecting to the same OP_Return filters is fair.
Filters are only meant to discourage spammy behavior, it doesn't stop spam. A network with participants running filters forces "spammers" to collude with miners to take on all the risk of constructing blocks at risk of being orphaned (since nodes won't validate txs which don't propagate beforehand). Nodes with filters will validate spam blocks just fine, just marginally slower than blocks w/ tx already all validated beforehand (propagated properly)
Filters don't cause forks, miners which want to take the risk to mine blocks containing txs that don't properly propagate across the network do

台灣確實母語很難說 🤔有些人母語是中文，有些是台語,還有客家話和當時國民政府帶來的大陸各地的方言，甚至有些是英文或日文。光一句「國語」問三代人都會有不一樣的答案。
但台灣照樣還是能發展，不就證明有共同母語不重要嗎？ 難道大家就是一定要讀紅樓夢才有文化
台灣可以順利融入世界各地的人才能做出偉大的發明貢獻給全世界也不是因為願意接受多元文化，才兩千三百萬個人呢
中國文化對於台灣人就是不夠重要😏
靠自己的力量在風暴雨雷山峽晃動的海島上生存數百年不被病死餓死不是精神是什麼? 沒有中國文化做不到？😅
這太小看原住民了吧 人家也出大海過到處東南亞和太平洋跑。許多人類學者發現很多海島社會都有台灣原住民的文化影響喔 。
台灣少了中國文化有時候也帶來了進步。當時大清國滅亡的時候，被日本殖民的台灣放棄了撥小腳，剪掉了辮子，和戒了鴉片，結果還是過的好好的 社會還是往前走。少了中國台灣人還輸入文化去日本呢 （譬如詩人，畫家，醫生，等等），連個棒球隊都可以送過去呢。
中華民國帶來的中國文化的時候毀掉數百個神社，但如今台灣人會去欣賞和保存能剩下的。台灣的自己的精神就是可以從各種各樣的文化來挑選，不限於中國跟日本。
簡單說，台灣人更本就不需用把中國文化放在眼裡，因為不是屬於他們的。白天可以上山參觀日治時代的神社，下午去台北故宮博物館欣賞中國寶物，晚上喝個西班牙的葡萄酒在一位外國人開的餐廳，再去也是吃個炸雞排喝杯奶茶當宵夜🤤
更深度的思考，什麼是中國文化？那一個中國才算呢？老是覺得中國人喊著「華人」「漢人」等等不知道是否發覺到是多麼荒繆的概念。

You can blink an eye and miss a major announcement or development in your feed, and we’re here to help make sure you catch it.
Our team believes that #Nostr , #Bitcoin , and #FreedomTech in general, are crucial tools for humanity in the world today. Our passion is to learn about them, use them, and help inform you about them, and we believe that passion shows through the countless hours that each of our team members pours into The Nostr Report every single day bringing you daily news, articles and newsletters, interviews, cartoons and memes, and the Lightning Round each week on #PlebchainRadio.
A week ago, we posted a survey asking for your feedback, and we appreciate the nearly 40 responses we received. We are grateful and humbled by the overall positivity toward our efforts, and we are incredibly thankful for the sincere criticisms and suggestions for improvement. One of the most obvious and immediate changes you’ll notice is that we are moving away from publishing a single comprehensive daily report. As the ecosystem and variety of Nostr client apps continues to broaden, it is difficult to ensure a consistent user experience when reading our daily report. Also, as we look to broaden our topics of interest, a single daily report continues getting longer (much like this announcement, haha) which we recognize makes reading it a challenge in some clients.
Instead of a single daily report, look to our Nostr feed and our Telegram channel ( https://nostr.report/premium ) for ongoing news and updates throughout the week, and a weekly recap of important news. The #NostrTechWeekly newsletter will continue bringing you the latest tech updates and conversations. Even less technical people feel comfortable discussing because lots of things in the past to draw parallels to --this has all happened before.
Expanding the mempool filters to also catch arbitrary data stored in tx witness data makes a lot of sense because it's how arbitrary data on Bitcoin has always been addressed. Expanding mempool filters doesn't break consensus.
The adversarial inscribers who spout " filters-dont-work-because-i-can-pay-miners" don't add anything to the conversation and forget that despite the increased fees from including spam, miners always "could" run the risk of getting their blocks orphaned when enough nodes on the network slow down the propagation of those blocks. The increased mining revenue will be short-lived.
It's not so much stopping inscriptions (can't be done), but discouraging those behaviors to an extent to get them to use something else to achieve their goals instead. No one is activating CTV to store jpegs when OP_Return could do the job just fine, and the disabled OP_CAT is a non-starter
There's only about 23 million citizens worth of votes within an area totaling to the state of Maryland which is why we're able to do this 🥹
It also wasn't always like this, the processes were put into place because the earliest elections on the island were rife with fraud. It took awhile for taiwanese to figure out elections 🥹
