Very few things make the hair on my arms stand up. This did it. Oh to be engaged in work that is so challenging, team oriented, inspiring and historic.

“The purpose of a system is what it does.”
TIL screenshots in this mode just come out as normal. It’s dark red IRL
I’ve built a toggle shortcut on the home screen get this effect for night browsing. Still using blue light glasses after 8pm though.
That’s like some Final Destination shit. Better just grab a sippy cup of whiskey and sit in the middle of the living room for a bit lol.
Yes that other crotch is definitely compromised as well. The whole thing should come down for sure.
Depending on the damage and your deductible, might be worth it to make a claim. Document your labor time too and take lots of pics, as that and the tree removal and the roof repairs should be covered.
If you can’t get someone there asap for the removal and you do it yourself, you might want to grab some tarps, screws and some 1x4 strapping to beat any incoming precipitation and protect your attic insulation and textured ceilings in the living space. Just make sure you lap your tarps up over the peak to prevent any rain from running underneath them.
I’ve done a bunch of these claims in my days as a restoration project manager. And now do the residential and commercial estimating for a good sized tree company.
Judging by the bark and the leaves in the picture it looks like it’s a variety of Willow. They are quite susceptible to internal decay because water gets into the bark conclusions in some of the crotches. Often there’s a little to no outward sign of this .
When I first started recording guitar driven songs, I would just have a click track in my headphones when I played the guitar parts. And since the drum parts weren’t super complicated (just a repeating drum part for the verses, chorus and bridge with a couple of fills), I just used some free drum software for the click track and the whole drum part. Then deleted the click track at the end. It was more precise than I was on drums. I was using such an unsophisticated system I had to play all of the guitar parts in a single continuous take. It was all done with direct line input into a Pentium II PC from a Peavey practice amp with no effects pedals. Just overdrive from the amp. Here’s a sample. It’s pretty repetitive but the solo that starts at 1:58 was pretty decent.
Donald was being a dick, so now he's Sunday roast.

Nice build on that grill.
I’d like to see how the Balkanization of the “States interfaces with this stablecoin mess that is upon us.

You could just fill it with mortar and make an intentional ledge for a trellis or something.
