It took me a little while to fully grasp the power of Nostr, but now that I do, I’m all in. The simplicity and flexibility of the protocol are remarkable compared to legacy platforms. And then Zaps came along—a complete game changer.
Not long ago, I had an idea: what if we could create a daily bounty on Nostr? A way for creators to be rewarded for the best content, purely based on community engagement. What’s great about Nostr is that if you have an idea, you can just build it.
I teamed up with nostr:npub1vwvwzh35zm0qjwuk8j3c0q7j5e4fv47tpr9m5ncz23kd64dk7xjq0r9tm0 and we connected on the idea instantly. Together, we built Bullish Bounty.
It’s simple: creators post videos using the hashtag #bullishbounty, and every day at 21:00 UTC, the post with the most zaps wins the daily prize—2,100 sats. Rinse and repeat.
The future of content creation is unfolding on Nostr, and I’m excited to be a part of it. This is just the beginning—more bounties to follow.
I like the idea! But Zaps can be faked if there is an economic incentive to do so (e.g. you can make two profiles and zap yourself without losing money). Have you thought about any way to prevent this?
Unfortunately no. Start9 is preparing an official release, which I hope will come out in the next few weeks

Do you have a channel with receiving capacity?
Yeah - it’s because the Alby account automatically links to the new hub and if you don’t open a channel or migrate the funds yet, they show as 0. We have tried to improve the UI to show this in a few places now
