my routine isn't set in stone but there are things that I usually do before I start my day.
eat something. these days I really like apple and oatmeal.
drink something. tea these days since I have to minimize caffeine. otherwise I'd be making a coffee, pour over or aeropress.
write down what I want to get done for the day, either on paper or on my phone.
unload the dishwasher so it can be filled throughout the day.
having a mentor really changes things. sometimes all it takes is to ask someone who you respect if they'd be open to being your mentor and giving you some feedback. a lot of times people who have been doing it for a long time are more than happy to help out someone less experienced than them.

we had the baby shower over the weekend and I had a very good friend who came from a long way. it was a very busy and fun weekend.

The fabrics used have been repurposed from clothing that has been discarded. I selected clothes that are made with durable fabrics that are 100% cotton or mostly cotton that still have a lot of life and use in them.
The quilt is 53 x 60" which is a good size for a child's bed quilt or as a couch quilt. It has a single layer of cotton batting which makes it light and suitable for warmer times. It can be machine washed and dried. This quilt is made to be used so no need to baby it.
