If it's like the US then a lot of the old heads are near retirement, know all the "cheats," and are punching the card until they don't have to. The middle generation is not working in the trades, and the younger generation is learning from the aforementioned old heads.
It's almost like there was a designer or something.

Somehow I doubt the average reporter has a nuanced view of capitalism vs communism and how barter may or may not fit in or alongside either system.
