Covered by a quart of honey

Cover with something breathable and leave it on the counter for two weeks. Don’t seal, it’s going to be gassy and need to breathe.

A few weeks ago a peregrine falcon couple set up shop in our woods next to the garden. I was thrilled when I saw it dive and snatch a vole from the garden. I have a huge vole population in my garden. I thought finely nature balancing itself out. I’ve actually talked to a great horned owl several months ago scouting in an alder tree, I complained that he wasn’t doing shit about the voles. Anyway, last night while letting the dogs out for final pee, I saw the said owl swoop across the woods edge talons out snatch the falcon, the flacon screeched, it was over in an instant. Now I have only one lonely falcon taking care of the garden. lol 😂 Nature.

Now I'm waiting for the inspector from the county health department to approve my wastewater design so I can set the septic tank.

She said she would be here this morning, but it's now past noon, so she lied.

Probably could have had this job finished by now. But instead have to deal with fiat world bullshit.

I'm a state licensed soil scientist and a state licensed wastewater system installer. I've studied soil across four different states before graduating summa cum laude with an Agronomy degree. But more importantly, for 10 years now, I've been evaluating soil and designing septic systems, all of which are still functioning flawlessly. But I can't complete my work until some gen Z county employee who has only held her position for a few months, and who, judging from her questions over the phone, doesn't even know how to interpret her department's own paperwork yet, comes to the site to check and make sure I'm doing my job correctly. On top of that, she can't even show up when she says she will.

Fuck government at every level.

yeah, all the folks i know that voted biden are voting harris. i swear it's just anyone but Trump for them. they have so much hate for Trump... for reasons i don't understand. seems like folks anti Trump really don't know what they're taking about... so i don't talk really engage. no one has my vote yet. im watching...i hate that i feel like it's all a clown show anyway.
