Sounds like a cycle repeat is imminent
It would be cool if they patented it with the intention of not using it and preventing other manufacturers from developing similar. I'm sure that isn't what's going on, but it would be cool if it was.
What comes to my mind when I hear the term is Instagram and/or tiktok influencers cosplaying the 1950s. That's probably not what it means to most people, but the little that has crossed my various feeds just looks like a play-act.
"And desperate workers are easier to exploit" you mean like suggesting low-income women should kill their babies because children will affect their career (and their taxable income potential)?
My garden has so many weeds. It's almost disheartening

I second the crush thought process, but I usually chop and salt 1/4-1/2 of a cabbage into a large bowl, let it sit for a few minutes (while I chop more), then I squeeze fistfulls of the salted cabbage. Then I add and salt the next round of chopped cabbage, let it sit for a bit, then squeeze it all again.
But really, it doesn't much matter how you do it. Salt + cabbage + time = sauerkraut. And it will be delicious.
I've gotten to about 6 quarts in since this note. Probably andlother 4 or so left to ripen. I'm also about 5 quarts into my elderberry harvest, but there's likely only a quart or two left on the elder bushes.

Additionally. If as a libertarian I think drug use should be legal, should I feel compelled to affirm someone's choice to use drugs in a manner deleterious to their health? I don't think someone should go to jail for smoking meth, but I also think they shouldn't smoke meth.
I think the correlation is clear.
Let's go Brandon I guess
Strawberries under grapes. This is the first I've paid attention to this bed in about a month, holy cats did the strawberries fill in. This is only their second year and I'm somewhat surprisedby how excellent the growth is directly under the grape vines in pretty strong shade.
My plan is to inter-sow a winter-killing cover crop mix (oats, peas, diakon) and maybe weed-whack the strawberry tops the last week of August/first week of September. My thought is the cover crops will basically turn to straw in place while feeding/loosening the soil. After the winter I can step down whatever residue is left upright and let the strawberries emerge through a soft mulch that is less likely to damage the fruits.

I'm daydreaming up a 1/2 acre pond system and this gave me much food for thought.
