I was disappointed for sure. But don’t all Bitcoiners go through a similar phase? I used to hold ETH before going Bitcoin only.

I’m starting the New Year off strong. Yesterday, I took my first steps into Bitcoin mining at home.

I set aside some time, read a couple of set up articles, watched some YouTube videos, and got my Bitaxe up and running with Braiins Pool. There is a small learning and technical curve with set up. But it’s well worth the time. If home mining has been on your mind, I’m inviting you to take the leap.

Grab yourself a miner and start pool mining. The amount of sats these humble miners earn is small. But we’re talking about the hardest and rarest money ever created. Every sat is valuable!

I’ve heard similar arguments before. Being a husband and father has changed my life. I’d argue that I wouldn’t be the best version of myself if I were not married with children. Insanely hard work but it gives my life meaning.

What software do you use for video editing?

I was originally wanting to make my own cooking Nostr client, but nostr:npub1xxdd8eusvdxmaph3fkuu9x2mymhrcc3ghe2l38zv0l4f4nqp659qskkt7a did a great job first.

However I’d love if we expanded the recipe events (kind 35000 I think?) to be more specific about ingredient measurements, such that they could be displayed at render time in the desired units.

Eg. Show grams instead of ounces according to the user preference.

Where can I find this client?

Good morning plebs! 🌄

What are you doing today?

Hi Eric. Welcome to Nostr. I hope you enjoy your time here. Use hashtag #asknostr if you have any questions. The community here is very helpful!

One year ago, I made a list of goals that I wanted to accomplish in 2024. This is how I did:

☑️ Learn about God - I learned but struggled in my personal relationship most of the year. Trusting in and walking with God continues to be a challenge for me.

✅ Take care of my body - Towards the end of 2024, I changed my relationship with food and went on a simple animal based diet. I lost 10 pounds!

☑️ Read more books - This didn’t happen because I never tried.

☑️ Learn a new skill - I learned so many new things in 2024, but I don’t feel that I learned a useful, technical skill as I had envisioned.

✅ Less social media, more productivity- I removed TikTok from my phone early in the year and claimed so much wasted time back. Removing this distraction allowed me to spend time educating myself and exploring Bitcoin.

✅ One more on one time with my all my kids - With the removal of distracting apps on my phone, I was able to give my time and presence to my children more consistently.

✅ Learn about homeownership - At the start of 2024, my wife and I entertained homeownership. We toured a few homes and even put an offer on one. Thankfully, we did not become homeowners. We became Bitcoiners instead.

☑️ Go to church - I didn’t attend worship at all this year.

☑️ Give back to my community - I didn’t give back to my community as I had envisioned.

✅ 1% better everyday - I grew into a better version of myself in 2024.

✅ Do the things I enjoy - My newfound passions for Bitcoin and Nostr presented so many opportunities for me to get outside of my comfort zone and find joy and purpose in my life.

✅ Build a savings account - I’m saving in the best money ever created, Bitcoin. I will never save in fiat currency ever again.

I completed a little over half of my goals. I may not of achieved all the things I wanted to but I am proud of the wins I had.

I’m looking forward to what 2025 has in store for me.
