For me, already running a bitcoin and lightning node and looking to selfhost, BTCPayserver was a no brainer.
I'm running it on my personal #Start9 server.
They have a built in crowdfund app that lets you self host get paid in #BTC onchain and via #lightning

Running my private #nostrrelay on my #start9 server. It's very cool that I can see my connection from snort.social posting my DM (event kind 4) to my very own relay. With that and my other posts (including this one) archived on my own relay I am #uncensorable !!!!
Is it time to consider "Not your relay not your posts"?

That is correct. I missed the announcement but checked the Start9 web site and it is now StartOS (no longer EmbassyOS). I imagine when the next update comes out that will be one of the changes in the release as well...
Whatever they call it, they do make it easy for less technical folks to become more sovereign.

I currently use ledger nanos for my hardware wallets. This was because at the time purchased about 2 years ago it was the best fit for me (I used to do a lot of non-Bitcoin crypto).
They still work fine, so I'm not in a hurry to replace them, but I have started researching and really like the ColdCard.

So I spent the evening trying to get NOSTR all set up properly. It seems I have attached a wallet and I believe I have done the NIP-05 but I can't really tell if it worked.
I didn't get to responding and sending all the messages I wanted to but in keeping with the spirit of gronostr and adding content that is relating to things other than bitcoin, I wanted to share a video of my cat welcoming me home. The pile of socks got double the size after the video as she kept at it.

I think I am learning how all this works, but since I've really never used twitter or most social media, I feel like I am using this way different than other people. I do now know that this is a "note" and not a "post" haha. I'm doing my best here friends.

While I will ask you for some information so I can best assist you, please do not ever send me (or anyone else helping you) your nostr private key (starts with nsec), or private keys or seed phrase for your bitcoin wallet. Maintain good security practices.
Please let me know how you want to use alby with nostr? do you want to use it to login in using the alby extension? or just use it to send / receive sats. What nostr client do you use? What bitcoin wallet do you use?

It sounds like you are able to access the Start9 server and can see the services, marketplace, updates, system. BUT can't access the UI for the installed services.
