Rabbits and writing, homeschooling and homesteading, coffee and weirdness. Creating a life I want to live and enjoying the journey.

We don't all have the same beliefs. We don't all have the same opinions.

But under our differences we share the same values.

That's what builds strong communities.

That's what builds resiliency.

That's how you get through hard times.

You find your tribe.

This month at our Southeast Alabama Community Meet and Greet we talked about growing potatoes. Curing onions. Imposter syndrome. Anxiety. Chicken tractors. Pressure canners. Snakes and other predators. Stray dogs.

Pride in our accomplishments.

We brought things to trade and share.

There is a seat at our table for everyone. Even if you don't have chickens. Even if you kill more plants than you save. Even if you only get one carrot out of your whole garden πŸ˜‰.

If you're in the area and interested in joining in next month, reach out to me.

Find your tribe.

We're finding ours.

Before and after pictures of my latest litter and a lesson in going with what works

Mama wasn't caring for them in the nesting box. So I took it out. And this is the difference 12 hours later. She made a new nest, pulled fur, cleaned them and fed them. Seeing this today made me so happy.

Is the #lftnchallenge exclusive to 75hard or is it for any kind of challenge we set out for ourselves over the next month or few months?

Peach muffins from our peach haul.

Exactly. And if you try something and don't like it you don't think about wanting to try it anymore. Frees up brain space.

What I learned from my first wire wrapping project is that I don't like wire wrapping. So. That's good.

Mine was a quirky game called Princess Tomato haha! You played as a cucumber. FF was another one of my favorites for sure.

Pretty morning today in Southeast Alabama.

Peach haul! Organic, from my mom's tree. Separated into "eat now" and "ripen" piles.

It's something that everyone seems interested in. I'm part of a trade circle on FB and it was actually started by a more liberal minded metaphysical shop owner.

The group exploded in numbers and all walks of life.

There probably are too few people on here right now, but definitely something that will attract numbers in the future.

Kind of. I'm part of a trade circle on FB in my area and it blew up. Over a thousand members in less than a month. It's super active and something everyone is interested in right now. There are people from all walks of life on there meeting up and trading goods and services.

It's really the only reason I get on that platform anymore.
