Unfortunately there is no other way for PWA web apps to receive data back from Amber without reading the clipboard.
Once you grant noStrudel permission to read the clipboard I believe it has to be initiated by a user action (ie. click or type) more info here https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/User_activation
But it could effectively read the clipboard whenever it wanted
Yeah that's what I imagined, it's unfortunate but I understand that there is always tradeoffs. Thanks for the detailed reply, I appreciate it!
The nice thing about needing to allow every interaction with a signer is no more accidental likes and boosts.
Another small #noStrudel update: Amber support, Better DMs, and Umbrel community app store
Changes:
- Add arm64 docker image (support for Umbrel and Raspberry PI)
- Rebuild DMs view to be more readable
- Show reactions and zaps on DMs
- Add support for threads in DMs
- Add support for Amber signer
- Add support for NIP-46 signer
- Support NIP-31 on unknown event kinds
As always you can run it locally with "docker run --rm -p 8080:80 ghcr.io/hzrd149/nostrudel:0.37" but now you can add it on umbrel đ https://github.com/hzrd149/umbrel-community-app-store

Can you confirm that the only way for Amber support to work is to allow Nostrudel to access the clipboard? And does that mean Nostrudel has access to it at all times or only when an Amber request is made?
Primal Android app reads the relays from the content field of the contacts nostr event. I have just checked and both your and nostr:npub1prya33fnqerq0fljwjtp77ehtu7jlsjt5ydhwveuwmqdsdm6k8esk42xcv's contacts list have empty "content" fields. Because of that the app doesn't know where to post the notes and shows the error.
Can you check if you have published your relays list on other client?
Just an update on this. Indeed the relay list was empty on Primal, even though other apps have no issue fetching it. So upon updating it on the web client the app now works flawlessly.
What confused me with the relay page was that the section in the middle was empty (cause there was no relays set) so my focus went to the relay list on the right, which I thought was the actual list, not a fallback list (which is what I assume it is since there was no relay set in the proper section).
Plus Primal seems to have an issue populating the middle section automatically if the account/keys pair was created on another client. I confirmed this by creating new keys on both Primal and other clients, then testing them both on the Primal Android app.
TLDR; network settings page was confusing, adding relays to the correct section solved the issue.

No. It's whoever zapped Nostr Report's previous report note the highest amount đ€
Can you award me this? I think you mistakenly awarded me the Pop Art one instead. Thank you sm! đđ«

Japan was amazing. It was great to meet new and old nostrich friends and get to know some of the Japanese community. Enjoyed the Tokyo vibe and t-shirt weather in November. Japanese food is in its own league.
Unfortunately I got pneumonia from the trip and spent 2 nights in the hospital back in Finland, getting IV antibiotics. It was an interesting experience, makes you appreciate health.
I'm mostly back in business by now, although haven't felt like going to the climbing gym yet.
Currently working on a 3-column layout for Iris & Snort. Iris is like a beta version of Snort: I usually deploy every commit, so it's already there đ
Looking forward to the next gathering of nostriches, and working to get some cool stuff done before it!
I'm sorry you had to go to through that, I'm happy to know you are mostly recovered. Welcome back, we appreciate you! đ€đđ„
Not sure how up to date this is but it's the best I've got https://nostorg.github.io/clients/
This product has so many layers of stupidity that it might be genius
Commies unite!!!
Jk, looks great. Nice work guys, and nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx will be glad you got rid of the -str
For real, that was the first thing I thought. Sounds like a communist mingling (chat) app but oh well đ€Łđ€
I'm looking for a Wallet of Satoshi alternative that provides a Lightning Address and that is open source. Any suggestions? #asknostr
I have and most other clients list the relay list correctly but indeed on Primal web it shows an empty relay list.
Though on https://nosta.me/npub1rqlwyvfshkj2778cc0lv46geppfhgxc73uqfcc0zpz3gy5d07uasj6c9tx you can see it displays the list properly.
On https://metadata-contacts-relays.pages.dev/ as well.
Actually Primal web also shows the relays, it's probably an app issue then.

Same here, been like this for the last couple releases. I've done some testing and this happens to any nsec, new or old, created by other clients, but not with a nsec created by the Primal client. Downgrading versions also didn't help.
It's great to see all the feedback and discussion here on Nostr itself! I plan to go through and see what's represented in the GitHub issues and try to reproduce or enter what I can. https://github.com/hzrd149/nostrudel/issues
Thank you! It's really appreciated! I'd do it myself but I had issues with Github in the past.
Oh I see, so I imagine the thread view is temporary, got it. And for sure, images and any embedded content really, would be pretty great to have displayed. Thanks for considering!
A few other things:
âȘ Replies to a Community post don't have up and down arrows/points like the main post in the Community section.
âȘ The post itself doesn't have up and down arrows/points like the main post in the Community section once you open it.
âȘ There is no way to type search for Communities in noStrudel Communities section and neither in the Notes section through the Search option, only Users, Notes and Articles.
If all of this is known by the developer and stupidly obvious, I apologize, though I tried to find it as Github Issues and through the milestone Cards page before posting. Incredible work so far, specially by a single developer!
It working from the drop down but not directly is pretty odd, it's a good detail to highlight though, hopefully it's gonna be good feedback. Thanks for mentioning!
Also, shouldn't community posts replies have up and down arrows/points as well? I only seen this implemented in nostr.kiwi. Reactions could a be a dirty workaround but are not obvious/intuitive.
Interesting to see how each client deals with community posts on the 'normal' timeline so far. I'll include a â ~note posted to a community â until clients deal with it better so people don't get too confused lol
