Haha Just me nagging vigor about this last few days. I can't tip zap enabled accounts via the lightning icon under their posts anonymously, and its really annoying that regular anonymous lightning tips now are second class citizens on nostr.

Not in the note view, I have to go to profile and that adds a lot of ekstra steps. Should be able to set this as default for all tipping also via notes.

Anonymous Tip is self explainatory, I like.

As I said before, put an ekstra none zap option in the the zap amount settings we get when we long press. This will let all my tips go straight to the lightning address.

You can enter your nostr keys in the extension, no need to make a new pair.

And private payments, like a none zap option.

Use a nos2x or alby extension for your keys

Zappr hellthread may live forever. It have to be taken care of in client's notification policy no? At least we discovered an attack vektor. Nostr developed = fuck around and find out

Any update on your thinking around none zap tipping in amethyst?

Describe it as "anonymous tips" or something. Afaik naming and discribing the feature may be the bigges challenge.

Why ? Just let me do a regular lightning payment if non zap payments is set in settings. The flow will be the same as with zaps.

Zaps could be considered gifts in a value4value economy. Gifts under x amount is usually tax free, so zap on brothers don't worry about the taxman.

An option to tip without createing a zap event so when I tip a post it goes strait to the users ln address regardless if that address is zap enabled. Good for private tipping.

Its my own domain and ln address implementation. It need to be changed to support zaps, and I am holding out for encrypted private zaps to be spec'ed out.

a tried a stacker news address over the weekend and got a feel for it, and I am not sure I like the non private nature of zaps.

Zaps on nostr convinced me most people really don't care about privacy.

Going forward i will only use a non zap enabled lightning address on in my nostr profile to protect the privacy of people who tip me.

I will miss out on some cool use cases, but for now its a trade off I am willing to make.
