I was, but I was unaware of these goings-on at the time.
Yeah it's not a big sticking point for me. I just think it's fun to be the deciders of terms, symbols, etc. for our open-source money. Kinda neat
So are we saying ₿100 or 100₿?
Also, when Satoshi symbol?

DIP HARDER. PAYCHECKS INCOMING
Legitimate question, not FUD:
If #strike gets debanked (again), what happens to all of us using strike as our pseudo bank account, receiving paychecks to and paying bills from our accounts?
At the end of the day, obviously NYKNYC still applies, so I'm mitigating risk by only keeping a month or two of expenses in there.
However, it would nevertheless suck to lose those funds.
Thoughts, nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle?
I'm calling it:
Greenland becomes a US territory (at minimum)
The US begins mining #Bitcoin there using geothermal energy
Hi, and welcome to Bitcoin.
To your first question: words are not violence. No boomers were harmed in the making of my note.
To your second: it's the opposite of having diamond hands. It implies borderline eagerness at the opportunity to panic sell or trade like a degenerate.
Tell your degen boomer relatives if they could wait til Thursday/Fridays to lettuce-hands to me
Hey nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle, why do you incentivize a DCA zero fees but penalize those who deposit their entire paycheck with fees?

Last I checked it was under 40W
By running a #Bitaxe at home overclocked to 800 GH/s, you have a ~5% chance of successfully mining a block in a given year.
To put that into perspective, if you spent that same $200 on Powerball tickets, you'd have a ~0.000137% chance of winning.
What would you do with all that #bitcoin?
Or get rid of the whole idea of meals and feed yourself once a day.
Yep... We definitely operate within a bubble.
Normies have no idea about anything. I went to Home Depot the other day to ask about where their Starlink was, and the young cashier said, "What is that?"
I use this as an example because it seems to me that #Starlink would be far more ubiquitously known than #bitcoin.
Most people still view Bitcoin as a fringe tech, possibly because it largely still is. This goes to show me that we're still in the "gradually" phase.
All this, and there's still people whining about a dip to $93k.

GrapheneOS is specifically designed for Pixels, but there are other degoogled android OSs that you can use on a variety of android phones, one of which being LineageOS.
In my experience, Lineage requires a bit more tech knowhow, but Graphene is very plugnplay. If you can set up a social media account, you can degoogle a Pixel with Graphene's web tool.
"Can the U.S. ban bitcoin?"
Any government attempting to "ban" #bitcoin has the insurmountable task of the following:
Go door to door to round up all mining equipment
Also go to every other country on earth, searching every home, business, shed, etc. to confiscate mining equipment
Prevent - in perpetuity - the development, manufacture, and distribution of both miners and the components that are required to produce them
While doing all this, they will need to actively monitor every packet of internet traffic to ensure there's nothing running bitcoin code, or communication to conspire to manufacture, distribute, or stand up any mining/node operations
There will inevitably be the above, so said government would then have to pursue, locate, and put down those attempts, in every country worldwide
Did I miss anything?
If you can't beat us, join us.

The difference between working on my homestead and working for fiat is one is the end, and the other is the means to that end.

I was talking with a relative who told me she "only had" 0.002 btc that she bought back in '22, having since 4x in purchasing power.
This purchase was mostly - maybe entirely - an emotional buy based on peer pressure from her dad, brother, and I all having discussions about #bitcoin in her presence.
She has no idea the technology behind her purchase, the fundamentals, or even the implications of what that could be one day.
When she recently brought up her purchase in conversation, I tried explaining a little bit of first principles about what money even is, etc...
I don't think I got through.
Good news is: she doesn't have to get it. If she, or someone in her shoes, just buys and holds for long enough, the interest for the "what, why, and how" will organically occur.

The difference between those who think #bitcoin can hit $1MM this year and those who don't is whether or not they were around in 2017.
Up 1% while boomers are "taking profit"? Hold the line, lads.
