yeah, i am also frequently wondering why some people - even freedom-oriented ones - have a rather positive opinion on authocratic governance forms such as dictatorships or monarchies.
besides the referendum system, the swiss model has an additional feature i like: the primate of politics. there are very few topics in which judges can overrule the people's decisions.
of course, the swiss model cannot be simply transferred to other countries. each nation has its own particularities. nonetheless, in my opinion, a democracy which does not allow its citizens to constantly control and in case necessary overrule its politicians by direct democracy, is not a complete democracy.
one thing that people tend to overlook: the suiss people did not get their political system for free, or at once. it was an incremental process during which a lot of people died in several waves of revolutionary uprisings. the ruling class conceded their power only under pressure and slice by slice to the people.
anyways.... nice to see that there are like-minded people around 😀😀😀

swiss-style direct democracy along with federal structures is the solution if you ask me... then you don't need a "leader"... an efficient administrator would be enough... but of course this won't happen easily as it requires elites to give most power to the people

I honestly think they were planning on WW3 even if rhey had to light the first ones off themselves. However, they have come to the realization... at the brink of doing it... that they really don't want to die after all. They know they can't win a nuke war and going down with the ship sounded really tough and brave until they were facing it. This is plan B. They are going to try to weasle out of it with a controlled crash. I don't think it's going to work. You know what else I think? They are all puppets and their puppet masters in Europe are not the slightest bit happy with their change of plans. There are high level cabal members in the US, none of them are politicians though, they do what they are told. They were told to commit suicide by starting WW3. That's what this spat with the EUi about. They are disobeying their masters and there will be consequences for that.
