Old man, young bitcoiner

The audacity of these people to look down on motherhood and family. Unbeliavable.

A good book or movie is good because there are external and internal conflicts present. Conflicts make things interesting and they engage people. That's part of the success of Twitter. Nostr needs more conflicts and fights for it to be truly interesting.

Compared to other commodity related industries, it’s pretty easy to migrate overseas with a bitcoin mining business. I’m not sure if the administration realizes this. The proposed tax is likely just virtue signaling, but if it really would be implemented - it could easily lead to a situation where capital and competence flow abroad.

Environmentalists are romantisizing nature. But the fact is that nature is brutal - so we need to be brutal back.

Elon has been outspoken about his pro free speech views. Could this data simply imply that Twitter itself is less self-censoring following the Elon Musk takeover, which inevitably would increase the amount of requests from governments (including a higher degree of legitimate requests than before)?

Is there an application similar to tripadvisor but including only bitcoin/lightning friendly businesses? On a global scale?

Such a simple idea, yet hard dor people to grasp. The fact that the majority still believe government bureaucrats are indispensable shows that they at least possess one skill - to take credit of work done by others.

There’s a strong ”orange man bad” vibe on this

Some say we are approaching a post scarcity world thanks to robotics, AI and other technologies that are on the rise. A world where scarcity is no longer an issue - where goods and services are produced and distributed automatically based on demand.

This could potentially eliminate the need for traditional economic systems based on scarcity and competition. They would simply become obsolete over time.

What could the role of a scarce asset such as bitcoin be in a post scarcity world?

Easter's empty tomb,

Bitcoin's trustless ledger,

Resurrection of hope.

Why is there not a bitcoin mining based beef jerky brand already??

Most people who claims to be thinking ”in terms of bitcoin & sats” are just fooling themselves. Most of us are still living in a fiat world and have to relate to fiat in one way or another. It takes work to get out of that mindset, and probably most bitcoiners aren’t even close to living and acting according to a ”bitcoin standard”.
