Hah... no surprise there honestly. Sheeple. :-/
I hope I get a chance to attend one day... definitely on the bucket list. ❤️
THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES!

Curious, when you are driving how often do you get the chance to discuss Bitcoin or Nostr? I'm always on the lookout for ways to spread the good word to those who are genuinely curious and have an open mind. Sadly, most people these days seem like over-educated sheeple who *think* they have hard-won knowledge about the world, when in fact they are just mirroring what they have been told.
I find this to be the case for practically all US government proceedings. We have created a monster with the funds of our lifeblood.
I strongly suspect that the Nostr experience for plebs is orders of magnitude worse than for large accounts. The 1% experience smooths over so many of the technical issues. Not saying they can’t be resolved, just that the “large follower” experience, currently, is not representative of the 99% experience at all… so be wary of influencer opinions on Nostr in general.
Has anyone worked on a syncing tool for replaceable events => git repo yet? I just want to use lazygit + difftastic to view my contact list changes... 😆 #nostrdev
I have worked with IPFS and not a fan of the design. Way over engineered, buggy, hard to reason about failures, the list goes on. Torrents are a much better protocol if you want to add some redundancy in addition to Blossom IMHO. cc nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr
Woah, hardcore... 🤘 Also a very good sign of quality if you like it raw. Ordered and thanks.
What are the main dishes you like to make with it? Tempted to order some! https://www.tenderbison.com/products/ground-bison-80-lean-16-oz-12-count/
GM Bitcoin uptime approaching 99.99% and there is nothing you can do to stop it. 💪
And that does not even include the cardinality of a shared UTXO model on layer 2s. 😜 ♾️
That CPU looks a little dated, but could still be a decent node with dual NVME drives! 😄 What are the specs?
Curious, have you looked at Framework laptops? I'm very tempted by their modularity options... https://frame.work/
Currently running a #Start9 #StartOS TOR only Bitcoin / Lightning / BTCPay server node including my own lighting address behind a clearnet domain+ssl. No VPS, no complex (and slow) TOR forwarding.
I'm using the free tiers of Cloudflare websites, ssl, dns and tunnels and the StartOS wrapper I made for the cloudflared tunnel client: https://github.com/remcoros/cloudflared-startos
Basic knowledge of how to setup a cloudflare domain, ssl and a tunnel is required but it's mainly clicking through the UIs.
Leave a comment if you're interested in setting up something like this and have questions.
nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll StartOS is by far my favorite stack for a self managed node, but waiting on the major redesign for clearnet capabilities has been painful to say the least. It’s still the best design / architecture IMHO and I hope they can continue the quality when the clearnet features finally land. The PR diff is scary large… 😱
In the interim will definitely check out your Cloudflare solution! 👏
