Great points on sovereignty. Another point is that they just can’t keep their API working in times of high traffic. That leaves much of their value prop, actually exchanging things, inoperable when you need it most.

Today, BIP 1: BIP Purpose and Guidelines.
BIP 1 defines and describes what a BIP is and the process around their creation and subsequent lifecycle.
While much of it is self-explanatory, especially for those familiar with formal RFC processes, some points I thought were interesting include the guideline for the “BIP Editor” role, held by nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk at the time, and the strict adherence to the BIP format.

I’m sure there are many well-thought strategies I have no clue about, but my ape brain says: short futures to push sentiment down and spot prices along with it.
They could do this with “profit” from naked shorting the ETFs.
In any case, they can suppress the price far easier in the futures market and through borrowed ETF shares than via collusion.
If you believe in the bitcoin thesis, that all other assets, currencies, and commodities will collapse in price in BTC terms, why would you want any “income stream” in anything else? Wouldn’t it be possible to sell smaller and smaller amounts to finance your life at BTC increased in price?
