Trying to figure out this bitcoin thing

Shit. Didn't read properly. Sorry.

No more mobile client. Just Primal web.

I am talking about livable energy as we are used to it: Turning on the light switch when we want. Having AC on, on the hottest days, to comfort ourselves. Not freezing to death on the coldest of days....

You are talking fairy tales and praying to the weather gods.

Centralized at what level? For a local municipality? I see no problem here.

Do you know how many countries you can source LNG from in a meaningful quantity? That's quite decentralized, actually.

As for the Solar Panels:

They couldn't be more centralized. With 95% coming from the Chinese, often by Slave labors. Sounds like a #shitcoin to me.

Do you know what they are building for themselves with the money earned from westerners?

Reliable Coal, Gas and Nuclear power plants. And quite a lot of them, too.

However, I hope that you have at least remembered to maintain adequate hydration.

Solar does. Batteries don't. At least not cost-effective ones.

Why go half way when you could do it the right way from the beginning.

Gas plants are built all around the globe right now.

Several decades?

You mean 2 right? With 1 percent performance degradation, each year. Producing electricity when the weather gods don't find it to be too much trouble:

I am not stopping anyone from using solar or wind power. The market should, if there was one. Do you know how many more nuclear plants (existing tech) we could've built for the 5 or so trillion wasted with unreliables in the past decades?

A bit more than 1% but less than 2%, so I won't disagree here.

Hydro is generally more stable, but often produces 'too much' electricity at larger sites. Bitcoin Mining definitely helps here.

Important to note here is that there are almost no periods when you don't produce any electricity at all like with solar or wind.

And Bitcoin mining won't fix that. Ever.

100.000.000 * 0 is still zero.

Lol. What about the coal panels from china? Sourcing (95% !) the most critical resources from a murderous communist regime doesn't sound that great either.

https://www.downtoearth.org.in/news/energy/china-to-dominate-95-of-solar-panel-supply-chain-83651

You don't need that much fuel either... And once these small reactors are mass produced, swapping them out every 20 or 30 years doesn't sound that bad to me.

People did for thousands of years and then ultimately ran out of it (Europe) when they needed more energy and turned to coal.

Then the industrial revolution happened.

The most 'dangerous' energy is safer than having no or too little energy. Wake up.

For Nostr you mean?

Yes Primal + nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm is the key.

Social Media on the phone is a only a distraction.

Nope. Not the only way. And not a great one either.

Hydro is one. And ultra small scale nuclear will be one in the future too.

Reliability is key.

#Renewables suck. There is no need for them besides virtue signaling and money wasting.

And no... #Mining won't magically fix them or make them preferred in a non fiat world.

(Hydro power is the exception obviously)

Efficiency comes from the market.

We will use more and more energy not less.

When cars or lights become more efficient, we will just use more of them because more people can afford them.

Seems almost perfect for a burger.

Birthday Mojito 🤌☺️
