No, but if he can't insta-fulfill a XMR/BTC order I assume (and it is an assumption) that Haveno volume is still nowhere near Bisq in that market, as I've never even had to add an order to the orderbook for this pair, liquidity was always available.

Maybe he meant XMR/fiat? Different story then.

This is typical Socialist nonsense.

Unproductive capital? So the few people that there are who exhihit low time preference and have the patience, wisdom and commitment to save for the future, so that they have capital to be self-sufficient, independent, and to fund future businesses and to help friends and family financially should the need arise, they call those unproductive and want to ROB them?

This is the concept of LEGAL PLUNDER that Bastiat talked about.

And as always, those vile ignorant Socialists demonstrate their envy and their resolute lack of knowledge of Economics.

What they desire is a blob of average, dependent people. This is the true meaning of equity, the only place everyone could perform the same, the lowest common denominator.

Meanwhile there sits the Socialist, robbing everyone blind, and now he doesn't have competition, as he empoverished everyone else.

Vile and disgusting and incredibly dishonest.

Another one from communist Spain

Yesterday entered into force the Royal Decree 933/2021, which was approved in October 2021 but whose application has been extended three times due to the strong opposition it has raised in the tourism sector and the technical difficulties posed by its implementation.

It consists of the Ministry of the Interior having set up an official register of travelers to supposedly fight against terrorism and crime in which the personal data of all those citizens, both nationals and foreigners, who make a trip in our country will be filed.

All establishments that host guests, such as hotels, hostels or tourist apartments, will be obliged to share the data of their stays.

On the other hand, car and car rental agencies are also included and have their own form format that they must share with the Ministry every time a user rents a car or contracts a trip.

Companies that do not communicate such data to the Ministry as stipulated in the decree face an infraction of up to €30,000.

The form that companies must share includes 42 different pieces of information such as name and surname, sex, ID card number, nationality, date of birth, place of habitual residence, telephone numbers, e-mail, number of travelers, relationship and transaction data.

This last aspect is especially controversial because here the traveler must share his account number in case he paid by transfer or his card number in case the transaction was made through the card.

And just like that, Papa Figos never entered Spain again.

It actually makes sense! If you buy more they'll need to tax you even more, so they are protecting you.... from themselves.

#canada is cucked.

I wonder what could have caused it!

I had a strong suspicion but the TV told me it was safe and effective so that couldn't be it.

The mystery endures!

I've been unable to sync my XMR wallets since a few releases back. The sync icon turns to a red X and that's that.

Since a version or two ago it sometimes turns to yellow again but then red again, and that's that. Seems to happen if app is in the bg and/or shortly screen turns off.

It's made it all but unusable, which is a shame, I like the UI.

Is this a known problem?

First, that's pretty narrow-minded, but second and most importantly, you do realize she is actually Ukranian, right?

You are just not very bright are you.

By the same logic, no worry guys, use a CBDC, as long as you have good opsec, it'll be fine!!?1111eleven11!

Use telnet instead of SSH bro, you'll have good opsec bro.

Use http, who needs TLS bro, as long as you configure nginx right bro.

Don't encrypt your disk bro, you just need good opsec bro.

Use onchain Bitcoin with good opsec bro, it's just as good as Monero bro.

Zap without a lightning address complicated is.

Hey nostr:npub1r5yzptzufjehaduv3du9tlrav4ws9edwuu338s2a06haamc6xlfsf333vz , calm down with those minority of Bitcoiners who have short minds. They are moved by greed. Period.

They don't seem like a minority from where I stand, unfortunately.

Pretty much all the oldschool bitcoiners I know (including myself) value Monero because it complements Bitcoin in a much needed way, but for the moonbois it's a black and white thing and an us-vs-them mentality (they seem unable to grasp that most of us explaining and defending #monero here are bitcoiners too).

This is something I deeply care about (because I don't like the implications of a total surveillance society) and to see the same fallacious arguments spun over and over again does grind my gears somewhat.

I'm just trying to raise awareness about this topic and not let fallacious arguments go unchallenged. Sometimes it can be tiring, but don't worry, everything is calm and good 💪

They don't check it NOW. One day they MIGHT be COMPELLED to. In the same way that exchanges didn't check THEN but do NOW.

And it was PREDICTABLE, because the AGONIZING LACK OF PRIVACY IN BITCOIN all but guaranteed it.

And here we are!

There is plenty of precedent for merchants, just not with bitcoin, YET. Why do you think there are legal limits that merchants can take in cash? To ensure that above a laughably small amount, they can trace it. You really think it will stop there? No, sadly it won't.

And we need tech that DISCOURAGES always-on mass-surveillance, not ENCOURAGES it. It's not just tech that's needed either, social change is needer as well.

As for lightning, reread my post (or don't), it's not that they can stop you from opening a channel, but they surely can FINE you after the fact, because the chain is TRANSPARENT.

Because all data is sitting there, forever, enforcement can be AUTOMATED.

Oh, pseudonymous sats you say, it won't affect you. Maybe. Until one day you make a small mistake. You were in a hurry. Or you needed a bit more than you thought you did. Or you used a public electrum server who just logged your IP and all your addresses and balances. Whichever way. You make a small mistake, and boom, you're rectroactively deanonymized.

Anyway, as you said, let's agree to disagree.
