I blame meta/oculus. They produced the equivalent of a cellphone hmd to sell a gimmick to the masses at a low price point. It shifted developers to producing games that would work on low-end hardware. The gimmick was over and people lost interest never having experienced very immersive VR.

False flagger (noun): When a road construction flagger and pilot car guard 14 miles of Alaskan highway without any road construction.

A local restaurant recently added to their menu a note that tips go to a pool split evenly among hourly workers. I suspect this is a dishonest strategy for paying customarily higher rate employees only minimum wage.

Democracy?

Babies learn to smile at a surprisingly young age. They haven't even developed a self image nor do they know themselves in a mirror, yet they naturally will smile back when prompted with a smile.

100% grass fed beef liver tastes pretty close to moose liver.

I thought when they approved bitcoin for an etf, they finally understood some qualities that bitcoin has. Turns out, nope.

Yeah, this is wild. They put bitcoin through so much scrutiny for nothing.

"Go fill out this electronic customer intake form at a third party site listing all your details."

No, thank you. I wonder if the market will discover this hinders small business potential.

Walmart just likes to pretend to sell guns and ammo, but try to find someone that has the key to unlock the cases. Impossible.

They wish to see that profitable free speech (without a license) is considered a crime.

Those scammers hijacked the word. Organic just means anything made of covalently bonded carbon structures. Could be poison. Could be synthetic. Could be genetically modified.

You're arguing that the tailors of the emperors new clothes did not defraud the emperor. UTXOs do not move. FIFO satoshi accounting is not contained in the transaction. None of this is the reality of a bitcoin transaction. It's an imaginary system on top of the communication and with that comes implied meaning.

If a majority are convinced that the emperors clothes do exist, then you are forced to respect the clothes or face a beheading.

It's not okay to sell a claim that isn't true. Satoshis don't move. Enemies of bitcoin desire there to be a commonly followed system of provenance which pretends that they do move, and I'm not talking about ordinal or inscription enjoyers.

Costco sells gold bars and only accepts card payments indirectly registering an address for said gold. Doesn't seem great.

Lots of things which exist cannot be seen (if that's what you mean by "observe directly"), but they still exist. You could say the knowledge of their existence is really just a mental model or experience of simulacra, but that means everything is simulacra and nothing about bitcoin is special in that regard.

Nah. Things get more real when you use specialized instrumentation to explore the bytes stored in a disc. Bitcoin is just bytes with rules. Bytes are are represented physically by arrangements of matter. Of course, matter is mostly empty space and probably just a different layer of information.

Maybe it's only a lie if there is intent tomisleasd belief. Physical laws are truth-seeking.
