My latest song answers the question, "What is bitcoin?"

In before all bitcoin companies announce
You're not a real bitcoiner unless you run your own node, hold your own keys, and announce your own L2 V2 before V1 works
Just visit my website, all tickets as well as prerecorded versions of all upcoming workshops are available right now for $20 per ticket or $5 per recording. https://supertestnet.org/workshops.html
Announcing Super Testnet Workshops! A series of monthly workshops (first one on June 25) where you can learn bitcoin programming. We start this month with a workshop on Bitcoin Script. Buy a ticket for only $20 or purchase a prerecorded version for only $5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRi9_4bgkek

This has been a long time coming! Nip47 is also good for this
> Can you give a comparison of supernet, joinmarket, samourai whirlpool, wabisabi of wasabi
By "supernet" I assume you mean Emessbee
The advantages of Emessbee are:
- there is no coordinator, so there is no one to shut down or "leave country X"
- due to no coordinator, there is no coordinator fee, so Emessbee is cheaper than alternative coinjoin implementations (except joinmarket, which pays you to coinjoin)
Drawbacks compared to Wasabi:
Wasabi has no toxic change, Emessbee does
Drawbacks compared to Samourai:
In Samourai you only pay for your first coinjoin, the other ones are free (for you). In Emessbee you pay for every coinjoin, so over time it's more expensive than Samourai
Drawbacks compared to Joinmarket:
Joinmarket pays you to coinjoin, Emessbee does not
> And whether your protocol is decentralised enough with no toxic changes
Emessbee does have toxic change
Also worth pointing out: Emessbee is not complete coinjoin software and is not ready for use on mainnet. It only demonstrates that doing a coinjoin without a coordinator is feasible and has significant benefits. IMO the other coinjoin implementations are better than Emessbee (because they are actually ready to use right now) and you should use those, not Emessbee. But I do think it would be good if the other coinjoin implementations "upgraded" to use Emessbee's coordination protocol instead of using a coordinator.
Me talking about hedgehog 🦔 at Paralelni Polis last week

I want to thank gudnuf (twitter.com/da_goodenough) for the workshop linked below. Thanks to it, I made big progress today implementing NWC support for hedgehog. My bridge between hedgehog and LN is coming along nicely! Hedgehog, helped by a non-custodial bridge server, now supports paying lightning invoices. :D
Trump talks a lot. Don't believe all his promises.
Trump on Snowden: "I'm going to start looking at it...Many people think he should be somehow treated differently."
https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN25B10Y/
On Assange: "Donald Trump offered Julian Assange a pardon if he denied Russia link to hack"
This block is weird: https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000001c62110bb97a52bf3015ea3abd9b318c300e5c0fba791
It contains 7,812 transactions (giving a rate of 13 transactions per second, wow!) and almost every transaction in it has an op_return in it that merely says 14 01 14 00
That doesn't decode to anything I'm aware of
Thoughts?
> Mental gymnastics implies making excuses
It shouldn't. It should be the mental equivalent of physical gymnastics, i.e. precision control over your thoughts even in circumstances that would normally prove distracting
Some ideas are complex. If you never exercise your brain through mental gymnastics, you will only be able to understand simple ideas.
Insinuating that mental gymnastics is bad is equivalent to claiming complexity is bad
Flexible ethics are bad but mental gymnastics are actually good
The media says the economy is good because:
- GDP is up
- Stocks are up
- Jobs are up
- Inflation is "only" 3.5%
All these numbers can be gamed. In particular, I wonder how much the GDP's rise is due to military spending that doesn't "trickle down" to the rest of the economy.

Also: even if the inflation numbers *weren't* gamed, the *official* inflation numbers are still a "bad economy" indicator because (1) 3.5% is still high & acts as a significant annual wage cut for every worker (2) it has been high in every single year of Biden's term

My latest video is a slideshow explainer of my hedgehog protocol:

> Order of magnitude is the crux of the argument, not the exact value
Then they should say something like "it can only process on the order of 10 transactions per second." It's not good to state the number is 7 when that undercuts the truth by over 40%.
that would be a perfectly acceptable retort and I would agree with it
the real number being low does not justify pretending it's even lower
I wonder if rich people find my preferences strange
Awesome! Btw the GitHub description still says "Know No Customer (KNC) a bitVM Bitcoin exchange"
Consider changing that to something like "a bitcoin exchange based on multisig" or "based on incentives" or even "based on the game of chicken"
(I also like "based on mutually assured destruction")
I like it when people find something that works well for them and understands the risks. Good for you. The haters are gonna hate (hate hate hate hate) but I recommend you shake it off (shake shake shake shake)
I would have them both fund the multisig simultaneously in the same transaction. A psbt would help with this. Alice and Bob both add a 10 btc input to the psbt and the psbt has one 20 btc output that goes into the multisig address. Then both review/cosign/broadcast it. That way neither party sends any money unless both do.
No but I decided Ark is better, because Ark is also a coinpool but with fewer trust assumptions
I recently recorded an episode of Bitcoin Audible with Guy Swann about my hedgehog protocol, check it out!
Hedgehogs are fast, cute, and cuddly, all of which are desirable features for a monetary transfer protocol
Hedgehogs have a funny name, opening the door to many new puns, which is desirable because all the good lightning related puns are taken by various wallets and lsp services
Hedgehogs have emojis, video games, movies, tv shows, and nature documentaries, all of which are fodder for social memers to meme hedgehog into broad popularity
A combination of keysend and zaplocker. Nodes between you and your
destination forward htlcs to one another and you send the payment secret
to your destination out of band. Like with zaplocker, funds are locked
