im eventually going to write up a howto with script sample to make it more clear than what the git repo for luds (https://github.com/lnurl/luds) states.
Theres basically 4 calls..
1. Parse lightning address and make a call domain for lnurlp info with username to get callback, metadata, constraints
2. Make a call to the callback to request an invoice with amount and comment
3. Make a call to a node or use a library to decode the invoice, and verify amount, and hash are as expected
4. Finally make a call to node to pay the invoice, with timeout and fee limits set
The luds themself are defined here and the key ones are 1(basic), 6(payrequest), 12(comment), 16(pay identifier)
Have you considered changing your nip05 to leverage your lynalden.com domain? As a widely known persona in the space its important to avoid ambiguity with services tied to centralized/compromised venues likr Twitter.
Yes.
When I first heard about BTC I went on Twitter and came across pomp. I started listening to his podcasts and he interviewed a lot of great maxis... back then...
Thats how I found nostr:npub1r8l06leee9kjlam0slmky7h8j9zme9ca32erypgqtyu6t2gnhshs3jx5dk, nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx, nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy and from those podcasts nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8, and others.... I rotated my time away from pomp and started curating a list of maxis for my education.
hmm. this is a very fair point. my first 6-12 months of podcasts and youtube were things like laura shin and bogus cryptoheads. thankfully found some signal, in large part thanks to the taco plebs on twitter. maybe it is good for more bitcoin speakers to be on shitcoiner podcasts after all
so in theory, if i send to your alby lightning address, it should create an invoice to pay to your node?
as this isnt leveraging keysends, they would either need to map the comment to that or itd be dropped i would think
may come down to the wallets highlighting if the amount is above a user set threshold
I've been testing lnurl pay to different wallet types with messages
As far as custodial wallets go, Strike is by far the best for showing messages received in the notification tray. Also discovered that Jack and a few other accounts require 100 sats minimum for someone to lnurl pay them.
Next best is Wallet of Satoshi. The notification informs you of amount, but not the message until you open the wallet and view history.
After that, Fountain doesnt give notifications, but the message shows in wallet view but doesnt support emojis
Alby i rank after Fountain. It does support emojis, but the receiving side is buried with little reason for users to look at it.
What other wallets should i try out? And do you like receiving messages with sats or dont care? Would you fill out a survey with the promise of more sats at the end? How about watch a video where a QR code for an lnurl withdraw was interspersed within?
for jack its a 100 sat minimum
fmv if it replaced fiat is $40M+
if you are selling sats you have the wrong unit of account.
You can BUY dollars with sats, and SELL dollars for sats.
no. it legitamizes those venues.
