Kudos! My journey didn’t start there, but when I began learning about those two simple/not so simple things, it all became clear. I couldn’t “unsee” the complete Fiat bullshit that has the world in a stranglehold. It was massive, and real.
As a long-time “market prognosticator” , next year is a life-changing obvious, that imho is a setup to ruin the greatest number of people.
That should, SHOULD involve Bitcoin becoming the most important asset “talked about” on the planet.
It could also involve Bitcoin - and Bitcoiners - being ‘terrorized’, and being forced underground for a number of years.
So all I’m saying is that I disapprove of the endless bullishness on Bitcoin in 2024, because as a long-time markets participant, when everyone is on one side of a trade, it breaks-bad.
So while everything seems bullish, I have to question why the price isn’t already where market participants anticipate it will be “in the future”.
I’m steeling myself for a very hard-fought and hard-learned year.
I think the war is on, and Bitcoiners don’t actually know anything practical about monetary (et al) warfare.
I hope I’m wrong.
I’m asking for old-man handouts here…
When Apple shut-off Zaps, I searched and found a popular workaround.
Which was great, and added a Zap button to posts. And I could zap it.
The problem I’m too stupid to figure out is…I have received zaps and have no idea where they are going.
In other words: I setup an iOS workaround for Zaps, but forgot what I did, and can’t seem to just duckduckgo what I did originally, and people have sent me Zaps and I don’t know where the wallet is that’s receiving them…
Sorry to be an grandpa burden. I run 2 nodes, and a handful of miners, and yet I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHERE MY ZAPS ARE GOING!
For a long time I thought you were talking about actual people/business “clients”.
You’re talking about browsers, right?
Who the fuck cares?
Nostr is the only platform where “clients” or whatever matters.
The others are all about centralized, controlled “experience”.
If I’ve read your post wrong, I apologize whole-heartedly!

No one can become a rightful Bitcoin Maxi until they embrace 3 things:
To be disillusioned w/ Fiat money
To understand the Cypherpunks
To begin w/ those two premise as a basis and accept Bitcoin as a lifelong study.
I only lay this out as it’s helped me separate the wheat from the chaff.
If anyone fails in any one of these, stop listening to them, they haven’t done their proof of work yet.
I really appreciate what you’re offering.
So much hope coming out of Japan.
If Bitcoin closed the year at 42069….
The Simulation is telling us it’s all-caps game eff-ing on for 2024.
I zapped back, do me a favor an let me know that you got it. 10 sats, the set amount for how I setup Alby. Just want to know that others are getting my zaps.
I still haven’t figured out where zaps coming to me are actually going.
It was all so easy before Apple sanctioned us.
THIS might be the way.
IS this a breakthrough development of scaled-layers?
HOPEFULly it is, or will lead to more.
#appropriatecaps
Users reviewing IS the REVOLUTION!
Nevermind…I found the post. A little confusing but it’ll get ironed out over the coming fudmo year….
Awww…
Also, protip: #FeetPic should be of the Mrs, not the Mr.
Love for the Holidays!!!
I very much agree, but as I’ve never seen any admission that she was vaccinated, I didn’t want to assume.
Also, I’ve posted on how a very well-respected Japanese team of researchers have analyzed global research of all the many Covid strains, and found that none of them were mutations.
Meaning, they were all originally lab-created…and all released into the public.
No, Damus is great! But Apple forbid them to allow Zaps, so there was a 3rd party web-app workaround…and I got it setup so I can send Zaps, but it was complicated, and I’ve since forgotten the details of how I set it up and why I don’t receive any Zaps.
Just an issue for iDevice users.
Yes, with Damus getting ‘borked’ by Apple, the work-around involved a third-party web-service…which I setup but didn’t really learn about.
the result is I can send zaps, but I’ve never received any to a personal wallet.
It’s honestly something I need to look into, just haven’t dedicated the time.
Ending the year off strong!
Over the last few months, we've been preparing our wallet for Fedimint integrations. Today marks the first release with Fedimint support ready for alpha testing!

Fedimint is software for managing federated custodian funds. It's similar to the trust model of Liquid but better privacy and without a blockchain involved. It also has first-class support for Lightning.
The way we've gone about the integration is to seamlessly smooth over the edges that exist in self-custodial Lightning. Our hybrid approach will use a configured Federation when needed. Otherwise, it uses self-custodial Lightning if it exists for the user. This helps things like channel reserves, channel minimums, high chain fees to get started, etc.
You may add a Federation alongside your existing wallet or start with one without needing to open channels or pay on-chain costs. We recommend keeping the value low since this is a very early release, and there are some known features that we still need to develop.

It should feel and act like the same Mutiny Wallet with some caveats around backups for now.
A massive shoutout to the Fedimint team for their recent v0.2 release. It's still early for them and us, so all testing and feedback is welcomed! This does rely on having a federation invite code. We suspect that, over the next few weeks and months, more mainnet federations will pop up. There is not a default one built into the wallet.
We should also have Lightning Address support in a few weeks that works through federations. Kody has already started that work, and it seems promising: https://github.com/Kodylow/hermes
Also, there's beginning work on supporting the Lightning Service Provider Specification, which will eventually allow more plug-and-play support for any LSP to power Mutiny. This will be huge for more advanced node runners as the spec matures. Huge shoutout to John Cantrell for that work.
A lot of core infrastructure has been built into this release. Let us know if there are any problems; it should be identical to previous versions if you do not configure a Fedimint or different LSP.
Expect much more to come soon. Happy new year!
I’m not a dev, but having followed this project peripherally this feels groundbreaking! Kudos.
Agree.
ETF from Blackrock (spot or not) feels like a tactic.
Bitcoiner’s are the smartest people in any room, but none of us are sophisticated enough to know the ‘research report’ Blackrock has developed to undermine Bitcoin
I don’t lose sleep, but I also really don’t want to leave America for a foreign country.

Totally agree, I had that thought when Saylor said Bitcoin NEEDED large-bank custodial services.
I thought, “or 12 words”.
