Nice. I knew Fidelity came out in favor of Bitcoin awhile ago. Good to see them still beating the drum.

The thing is it is still effective at reducing symptoms and deaths from COVID. My mom is immunosuppressed and she would have probably died from COVID without the boost to her immune system when she did eventually catch it.

I can see why people are upset though about the risks not being disclosed well and some people having to choose between their job and getting the shot. I just don't think it's a hill worth dying on. The messaging is really tough too, because if you come out against the COVID vaccine people might think you're also against traditional vaccines which have completely irradicated some really nasty diseases.

Idk, I think an experimental vaccine was an appropriate response to the COVID threat at the time. Same with lockdowns and mask mandates. We didn't understand it well and couldn't have known it would evolve to be so much less deadly. Hospitals were getting overwhelmed and people were really afraid.

I still don't understand what the big deal is about vaccines.

Is there any way to see what #nostr relays are hosting a particular note? I keep getting replies from a shitcoin bot (I still see them sometimes despite blocking it) and I'd like to figure out what relays they come from so I can stop reading from those ones.

I reached my goal and have cut back on buying so I can spend more on myself for my health and sanity. I put off a lot of spending for almost two years because I was going so hard into BTC, so it's kind of a relief to not be buying so much now.

I do agree that under Bitcoin birth rates will probably rise. I just don't think birth rates are something to worry about. We can't just keep expanding the population forever, at some point it will have to contract and we'll just have to learn to deal with the consequences. But there could also be some benefits. It would shift power back towards the average person, as their labor will be more scarce and valuable. Technology would be utilized to fill in the gaps, freeing people up from doing those mundane jobs. If there are fewer young people they will likely be much better educated. It would be a mixed bag.
