If my Reddit app shuts down I am done with Reddit for good.
As I said I think Amethyst's system has potential, but it needs to be tweaked some. If no one uses it then there won't be enough data and feedback to improve it. I do occasionally log in on other clients to see how it changes the UX for comparison.
I agree. I still use #Amethyst because I think the report system does have potential to be leveraged to improve UX. However I don't want to miss out on any titties. Please give us the option to ignore nsfw reports.
Are there five "anti censorship" people here willing to censor me to prove a point? That would be a bit hypocritical don't you think?
Look, I think there is potential for the report system to be leveraged in a way that improves UX without risk of abuse. Amethyst policy is not set in stone, and more data is needed to find the right balance if it exists. As of now I don't think anyone that doesn't deserve it is being censored. That may change in the future, and if it does I will adjust accordingly. Until then I wish to continue to experiment with it and see how it develops. I like Vitor's work and want to continue to support him.
You need to follow more than 15 people dude. Stop being picky and follow everyone that looks even slightly interesting. You can always remove them later.
Also my favorite book ever is Anathem by Neal Stephenson.
People here shun politics a lot, but I'll still talk about it a bit. Made a big post about Ukraine and RFK just yesterday.
I don't think this as big a deal as you are making it out to be. Reports are public, so if an influencer tried to weaponize them it will be obvious and they will be called out on it. As long as there are different clients with different policies they will never be able to fully censor anyone anyway. If what they are doing is egregious enough then word will get around. I think attempts to abuse the system will be social suicide.
Show me some real examples of the abuse working and then I'll start to worry about it. Until then I'm fine with it filtering out the bots and scammers to improve my UX.
Don't you have to follow the person that reported for it to effect your feed?
My Damus is dead slow. I didn’t change anything. It loads but freezes and crashes. nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955

How do you squeeze blood from a stone?
Dude lookin like a fuckin thumb.
I thought to be a true Bitcoiner I had to eat only beef?
This is from the copy pasted message across all the subreddits protesting Reddit's upcoming API changes. Does this look like they are asking for more censorship to anyone else?

Bitcoin is not decentralized! I have the ENTIRE THING on my node!
I was about to zap you $30 of sats just so I could say less, but that would be crazy.
