I just got a new (refurbished) headless Dell workstation (win10 OS).
I need a monitor to do the initial set up. But I don't have any stand alone monitors... I have an old laptop (Ubuntu OS) and an "all in one" desktop (win10 OS)
Without buying a new monitor, how can I set up the new computer?
I'm open to buying a cheap 7" monitor with a VGA connection if there's no way to get the computer set up. Any recommendations?
Google said to SSH into it, but I don't know the computer name or IP address.... Is this possible? nostr:nprofile1qqsyawyrzrttfmv4cmtx5w2m85702kdct7hv3amfrkhagpdf9cz46mgprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcpydmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef08ankcmmzv9kr6ctvds20l3q3
Thanks for any assistance🙏🫂

Better to just buy a cheap secondhand monitor, you’ll probably gonna need it in the future too when problems arise…
Ah nice! great option.. I bought everything separately because I wanted to do it as a small project.. but the t-deck plus is a great alternative indeed.
So I ordered the wrong #iPad folio case from #Paperlike. They are sending me a free replacement but let me keep the other case for it as well to give away!
So any one interested in a #FREE Paperlike Charcoal Folio Case for the 2024 iPad Pro 11”?
Will gladly send it from The Netherlands if you cover the shipping cost payed in sats!
Please repost!
Yes I’ve printed a case created by AllyCat, she has created a lot of cool cases also that can fit thicker batteries, you can find them on makerworld.
Yeah the t-deck is kinda power hungry like a cellphone.. would go for 5000mAh or more if I had to buy a new battery now.
Also when buying a battery, check the polarity… bought on with a connector on it that was not correct and almost fried my t-deck
I have build it my self from source code. I work in IT (not a programmer) but still wasn’t that easy to figure out.
You can find out how to do it here: https://meshtastic.org/docs/development/firmware/build/
You need to clone the tft-gui-work branch and build that to get a firmware that contains the new gui.
Plot twist: it wasn’t a nightmare
*he who shall not be named (fu to autocorrect as well)
Took quite some effort but all the #BTClock repo's are completely independent from GitHub now at https://git.btclock.dev/.
Thanks to #forgejo ( nostr:npub1rxp380rjw7vlhm38dxwre27zwt84qa6vl88930knhg24c6vkvv3smc9re7 ?) I even got the CI/CD working, see the latest run at https://git.btclock.dev/btclock/btclock_v3/actions/runs/11
The web-flasher moved to https://btclock.store/web-flasher/ (but I encourage you to compile your own firmware)
A big disadvantage is the barrier to do pull requests now though, but hopefully I can integrate GitHub OAuth for authentication...
👏🏻 nice work and big fu to be who shall not be named
Great times ahead for stand-up comedy! 🤗
I have it and it’s pretty cool with the new UI. Still very buggy though… also get a big battery! I have 2000mAh but that won’t last more than a couple of hours.
And then your harddrive crashes and the backup you had can’t be restored, the people you opened channels with can’t be reached to close the channels… 1m sats stuck in limbo for the rest of your life
There is no United States of Europe, these are still all different countries, the cost of living also varies a lot per country (look it up), that’s why.

True that, this shit is hard. And if you think someone else has it all figured out, you’re wrong.
Typical nerd reply dude… we’re talking about the tv shows here. Fallout the TV show is way better than Silo the TV show… ✌🏻
