I've noticed something going on with this topic that might make your advocacy even more impactful: Psychological resistance.

I've noticed those with chronic conditions are very sensitive to suggestions, especially that a diet might "fix" them. One friend went trough prolonged trauma as a child with feeding tubes and powder diets that "would cure them", and is totally blocked mentally on the topic.

Some research on your part and sharing with your audience on how and in what manner to actually bring this up might help.

Tone, wording, motivation, outcome.

It's likely many of us share and can share dozens of videos and books on what seems completely logical to us, but the sick are often "addicted" to their habit of sickness.

The human mind has a way of identifying with its faults:

"I'm the person who eats twinkies everyday, just as i wanted to as a kid",

"MS is a genetic disease, there nothing i can do about it, this is my life now"

or whatever issue, becomes their personality.

So by going up to someone digitally or in person and telling them that this thing they have spent countless hours for doctor visits, family worry and money on medical bills about, can be cured by eating a steak....you would think is good news, but the psychology of communication informs it will actually be received as an attack.

Compassion and patience, because we don't have all the answers either. Today we might be excited about the obvious truth that our bodies are not designed to digest plant matter, but even deeper truths might escape us as those basic ones escape our friends and family.

Truths such as that raw meats and eggs, especially organs contain more nutrition than cooked muscle meats. Raw meats are absorbed by the digestive tract not so much "digested" as with plants or denatured proteins (i.e cooked meats).

Helping people find diets that improve their conditions is positive. This should be the focus. A meat diet is helpful for many conditions, I just wouldn't extrapolate to assume uniformity of results.

When an assumption of curing XYZ is attached, the message is worsened. Genetic components exist: we are not biologically the same.

My brother was born with a rare gentic condition that came with scoliosis, short stature and muscular dystrophia. The muscular dystrophia was the worst part of his disease since his internal organs were coded to fail over time and the dystrophia was irreversible.

I think that psychologically, it is hard for healthy people to come to terms with situations like this because we want to believe that we can fix everything with the right formula. Hopefully one day we can find a cure for the worst genetic conditions.

Nice, elegant tree. Although it is limited to a pair-structure.

In many cases I don't have an ordered tree structure. When I create a procedural dungeon I start with distributing rooms and then write a function that walks between the rooms, to establish which pathways and squares are most commonly accessed, without the hindrance of walls. Next I write a function that transforms the array of walking patterns into corridors connecting the rooms. Procedurally generated obstacles that prevent direct walking from point A to B can help making the dungeon less linear. This could represent areas of rock that was too hard to cut through. The testing functions are ad-hoc trees that explore the dungeon and branch when necessary, then pruned as the "explorers" hit a dead end.

My back is usually fine, luckily. Walking every day is helpful, plus exercise and stretching.

Working on the computer for hours is a risk zone. Me and my wife have a temporary setup in a small apartment where we can't fit regular desks, so our PC's + keyboards are placed on top of 2 boxes of books. This saves space but is not great for posture when working, especially when I paint or sculpt with a digital pen on my Wacom tablet/monitor.

Reduce toxic intakes, lift with legs rather than the back. At work, ask for an extra hand if something is too heavy or the lifting position is bad.

Yes, but here on Nostr we are already quarantined away from most people. I have been shadowbanned on Twitter for years and I have still better reach and engagement there.

On Nostr I have no idea if anyone reads what I post. On Twitter at least I can get commissions for art, logos and graphical work. On Nostr the social landscape is more dead, so far.

Thanks for the feedback. I have added more relays and hope that it will improve.🙃

Yes, reaching people is far easier on Twitter, so far.

The inadvertent result of the "Nostr only" mentality is the silencing of all dissent on large public forums.

Nostr is good as an alternative but having multiple channels of communication is ideal.

Agreed.

The important factors are choice, options and transparency.

I don't mind that I see some accounts with differing opinions. If they share negative content then I mute or block. As a result I don't have a negative experience on Twitter because I filter my flow proactively.

Nostr is a great alternative but it will take some time for it to compete in regards to reach. My shadowbanned Twitter-account still has better reach than my Nostr profile.😄

Sounds a bit deterministic.

We can probably find flaws in most people and start extrapolating toward the conclusion that they are bad wity XYZ but it kind of ignores free agency and personal development.

When people put their life-savings into Bitcoin, I will assume that they will react if it *is broken* and not react if it *isn't broken*. If you don't see a mass reaction, it probably isn't broke.

Anti Money Laundering laws are an attack on property rights.

TLDR: Unless AML regulations can be refuted and abolished, property rights cannot exist and we are back to legalized slavery.

Property rights rests on the bedrock of logic that John Locke formulated in 1690 with his publication Two Treatises of Government.

Locke's ideas were instrumental in the rejection and abolishment of human slavery. He postulated that every human is born free and is a sovereign person who owns themselves and the fruits of their labor.

-------------

"Every man has a "property" in his own "person". This nobody has any right to but himself. The "labour" of his body and the "work" of his hands, we may say, are properly his."

(Book II, Chapter 5.27, page 130)

-------------

Following this reasoning, slavery becomes a violation of property rights: we can't own another human being since every person is born sovereign. We have no right to what another person earns with their labor. Only voluntary contracts that are mutually beneficial are valid arrangements.

The problem of AML regulations becomes obvious at this point.

First of all, AML reverses the burden of evidence and postulates guilt until proven innocence. Your money is assumed to be laundered - and thereby illegal - until proven otherwise.

This flips the whole Western conception of legal proceedings on its head; the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.

Instead, AML assumes criminal activity as the standard, with no requirement of the government to spend resources to prove a committed crime in a court of law backed by evidence beyond all reasonable doubt.

Under AML, in order to abolish your property rights, the government only needs to raise the bar for what constitutes accepted evidence to prove the history of your earnings. This sets absolute surveillance as the standard.

If the government want to strip you of your property under AML, all that is needed is for the government to reject the history of your property as invalid or inconclusive.

In the case of a banking service that you used in the past, if it no longer exists, or if it no longer have your records, or if you are unable to gain access to those records, your property is confiscated under AML.

AML regulations abolish the right of the individual to own the fruits of their labor, by empowering a third party to determine if your property is valid, without any burden of evidence.

If the validity of your money can be rejected at any point by a third party, your property rights have been abolished, ipso facto.

Returning to John Locke:

".. for nobody can desire to have me in his absolute power unless it be to compel me by force to that which is against the right of my freedom -- i.e. make me a slave." (Book II, Chapter 3.18)

".. and hence it is that he who attempts to get another man under his power does thereby put himself into a state of war with him." (Book II, Chapter 3.17)

Since AML regulations require absolute surveillance and the individual is at the complete mercy of the third party that determines the validity of their money at any given time, the statements of Locke ring uncannily true.

Locking the fruits of a person's labor under someone else's full power and control, transforms the working individual into nothing more than a slave, chained the whims and conditions of the controller.

The situation under AML regulations is captured in this statement:

"I have altered the deal. Pray that I don't alter it any further"

Following Locke, we don't have to accept a dystopian future without individual rights and property rights, ruled by neo-feudalism.

This is why Bitcoin is a return to the ideas of John Locke.

On a Bitcoin standard there is no third party that validates your transactions. The money you have earned is yours without restriction. Your money cannot be invalidated. Your transactions cannot be stopped.

Under a Bitcoin standard, criminals will have to be found guilty in a court of law, based on evidence.

Bitcoin is a return to justice and property rights for all.

Well said.

I think we need to be on the offense with terminology.

We must be clear that AML + KYC regulations are evidence of Communism and are absolutely incompatble with a free society.

The essence of Communism is the abolishment of private property -- and that is the ipso facto result of AML regulations.

I posted a longer analysis of AML regulations some time ago:

Yup, the climate alarmism movement is just a badly constructed stage facade to sell the public a package of totalitarianism.

When CO2 and carbon are defined as a threat to the planet, regardless how irrational that is, any centrally planned restrictions of individual liberties can be justified on that made-up pretext.

Love Giacomo Zucco's commentary.😄 nostr:npub1au23c73cpaq2whtazjf6cdrmvam6nkd4lg928nwmgl78374kn29sq9t53j

Yup. For now I think it is best to grow Nostr by attracting people here with free speech and good content. We need a lot more users here in order to compete properly.

Everything is a tradeoff.

I have zero reach on Nostr by the way.

Had my Twitter account locked since the AI is incapable of comprehending neither text nor context.

I was discussing the problems of Enlightenment ideology where there is a common urge to proclaim that other people should destroy/kill their Ego or Self.

This then ties into a redistributionist ideology whose moral framework postulates that you shouldn't want to own property, because materialism is bad and letting go of your Self is the path to a paradise on Earth. Just give up your property to the State.

This is what happens when the Twitter character limit pressures users to use short words and phrases in order to fit their message into the limited space combined with a poorly designed AI that attempts to catch "hate" speech.

As for now, my stubborn side would rather appeal this lock rather than delete the comment. With the short character limit, my options on how to convey my message in a single tweet are severely limited.
