Testing out armor decor ideas for my Darth Bane 3D bust. The face is starting to feel like Bane as I see him, although it is too early to sculpt the skin micro details.

For the armor decorations I first compose a 2D image with number of circles and spokes in grayscale. White represent elevation and black is hollow depth. Then I transform the 2D result into a 3D mesh that I can integrate into the sculpture.

In Zbrush the best path for a high quality mesh result, in my experience, is transforming the 2D design into an IMM brush which I can later deform into fitting the target shape.

If I just use a 2D alpha with a DamStandard brush then I don't get the same height effect or mesh quality and I often end up with unwanted distortions in the mesh.

Ossification was at first used as a deliberate mischaracterization of the "maintenance only" position. Since plebs like to turn around terms they adopted it.

Recently I have seen some people assuming that "ossification" means "do nothing". They seem to understand that it is not logically possible to not do at least minimal maintenance, and they still think that the hyperbolic term is used to mean "do nothing".

So one is tempted to assume that their underlying motivation is not a low ability to draw rational conclusions but perhaps part of a move to herd public perception toward certain changes.

It is impossible that someone could mean literal ossification so I never saw a big issue - the hyperbolic form of the term must be evident to anyone.

One of the most interesting music videos I remember seeing was "White Robe" by Tatu, from their album Waste Management, 2009. Back then in 2009 it stood out as a warning for a 1984 society where life is reduced to a compliance system.

Central to the video is this government sign:

A 1984 setting is established and the lyrics follow suit:

"Feeling ugly, looking pretty"

She is trapped in a system requiring her to obey immoral policies, but outwardly she looks great.

"Word is written, bond is broken

Families and social contracts are broken and there is surveillance everywhere. Privacy and secrets have become impossible.

"Sun is painted in the corner

But it's never getting warmer"

The propaganda is displayed everywhere but its falseness is tangible; there is no improvement in spite of the constant assurances. The propaganda is made permanent as if it was painted in the corner of your eye.

"All the lies they keep on selling

But you never check the spelling"

A constant stream of lies and propaganda, yet few are questioning the statements.

"Flying bullets hit the targets

Wings and halos, five to seven"

The system is ejecting a swarm of projectiles in the form of propaganda and compliance regulations and the targets are hit with these bullets.

"Brain is useless, chair is rocking

Open doors for dead man walking"

In a society where you are censored and restrained from exercising your free agency, your brain becomes useless without any reach or impact.

Luckily, in 2009 we also had the emergence of Bitcoin, providing humanity with the tech to safeguard individual property rights and our freedoms that depend on them, to resist a dystopian outcome.

The ability by some entity to invalidate your rightful property by assuming an imagined crime that there is no evidence for.

If the essence of communism is the abolition of property, in what way is AML then not evidence of communism.

Yup. In a free market, funding has to be achieved via voluntary options.

Many people don't have the funds to pay for subscriptions so it would be delusional to expect that from them.

Absolutely. When people have a decent income then it makes sense to spend some of that on the tools they use. Those that have a tight budget will of course not be able to spend money on social media.

A few common traps I see online:

Bashing women

Bashing men

Bashing christians

Bashing atheists

Bashing generations

Bashing whole groups in general

None of the these group generalizations will have favorable outcomes and they will instead trigger an opposite pendulum swing as the blamed group feels inclined to mobilize a group-based defense, and the circular animosities are in full swing.

Ossification started out as a propagandistic slur against those who want only regular maintenance and the response was to embrace the term ossification as a middle-finger. It doesn't mean actual ossification.
