Newbie question: when paying a lightning invoice, a network fee is added to the amount paid by the sender, but is a network fee deducted from the receiver as well?

For example: Bob sends Alice an invoice for 20,000 sats. Alice pays the invoice by paying 20257 sats from her lightning wallet (20,000 sats to Bob + 257 for the network fee).

In the example above does Bob receive 20,000 sats, or does Bob receive 20,000 - network fee on Bob's end?

I would like to know what is actually, technically going on behind the scenes when #cloudflare throws a captcha just because I'm using a #VPN, claims it has detected "suspicious activity," and needs to "verify I am human."

I'm 90%+ sure neither of these stated justifications is honest and do not represent what's really happening.

It is much more likely, IMO, cloudflare is making some attempt at identifying me in order to sell marketing data - probably some pattern match of device profile to a known identity database. But I don't really know and would like to.

A confidential compute DVM sounds cool, pay it to compute something but it doesn't even know what. E.g. a private LLM. Does this even make sense technically? Just stumbled upon CC.
