nostr:nprofile1qqszw7tm6nj7u5kmpgvhv6xf9wdrul3r0c0elfe6zrpc6ucu99x0exs7v8q5r what is the Event kind and format used by stemstr? care to share some specs on how music works on Nostr?

Yo! Itโ€™s a kind1808 ๐Ÿ”Š nostr:npub10000000thpep7auj058803nqtymqlf3rw87lzhe6mkfeywnpxg5sjw7nql or nostr:npub1xv6axulxcx6mce5mfvfzpsy89r4gee3zuknulm45cqqpmyw7680q5pxea6 can share more about the spec. Our goal is to have all original music on nostr:npub1stemstrls4f5plqeqkeq43gtjhtycuqd9w25v5r5z5ygaq2n2sjsd6mul5 that can be freely downloaded and remixed so that collaborations can come from anyone, anywhere and at any time.

Did some client hopping yesterday. Today, relays are fully rugged. Fresh start ๐Ÿค—

Beautiful collab ๐Ÿ™Œ nostr:note19kxpz0ja55r358dq40fcys69nw2axaswgyuzg4p95tak6tmh344sekzth4

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s You happen to have a Figma for Damus? I wanna mock up a concept related to profile and could use a kick-start.

nostr:npub1yauhh489aefdkzsewe5vj2u68elzxlsln7nn5yxr34e3c22vljdqkn7h9m suggestion - i think having the kind 808 post as a comment right underneath the nostr:npub1u5kxcc4dvd750pt4lh25x7d6hfhkcc4ym3azet0u9l9sfat28gdsyvus65 note might be a better organization of the notes instead of them being separate notes. That way if the client displays kind 808 it shows up. If not, least it's paired with a link to stemstr ๐Ÿซ‚, gives context

Totally agree!!

๐Ÿ“ข Announcing Highlighter 2.0

Release name: "Sig"

Highlighter has gone through so many changes that it's essentially an entirely new nostr client.

The goal remains the same:

๐Ÿ‘‰ A nostr client for your most valuable information. Your reading. Your notes. Your thoughts. A place to discover thoughtful, timeless content.

I have a lot to say about Highlighter, why I'm building it, what it is and where it's going. how it fits in the mainstream adoption of Nostr, and, to a degree, in the normalization of "keys over passwords", data sovereignty and more.

But these ideas are still rough. Very, very rough and demands a lot of filling in. This is still, very much, for the early adopters.

Let's focus on what's in this important release:

โœ… Data-vending-machine support: you can now very easily highlight podcasts and video content in a text-native way.

โœ… Patreon support: You can now create RECURRING subscriptions to support your favorite creators and shitposters. I will say a lot more about this and a follow up with a NIP to standardize and help other builders disrupt Patreon and bring creators of all kinds to Nostr easier and more compelling.

โœ… Zap-splits: Zapping a highlight creates a split on everybody involved in you seeing that content.

โœ… Curation: You can now create curations of articles and earn zap splits for your curation efforts.

โœ… NIP-32 Labels: categorize highlights and "margin notes" with any category

โœ… Full text support: Find what interests you across any topic in any type of event in nostr.

There's a LOT more to this release that I will be discussing in the next few days.

And a lot more to come.

Stay bullshit, my friend

Thatโ€™s a fascinating idea - who would be a part of their federation? Local community, some aligned group, etc?

Maybe an informational onboarding experience could be valuable here. Good to understand the reason and could help that initial feeling of โ€œWhoah thatโ€™s a lot of money to try this productโ€

Yea, poor word choice on my part

I know that itโ€™s just bitcoin moving between wallets, but the feeling that one gets is that thereโ€™s an โ€œentry feeโ€ and that (imho) makes me feel like itโ€™s damn expensive to try.

Imagine if another nostr app asked you to send 50k sats before being able to use it.

Technically yes, but in reality itโ€™s $17.31.

nostr:npub1t0nyg64g5vwprva52wlcmt7fkdr07v5dr7s35raq9g0xgc0k4xcsedjgqv this feels like such a steep onboarding fee. I understand itโ€™s job, but I wonder if there isnโ€™t a way to lower the cost of entry for someone new to try your product?
