I think the embedded relay also means you unlock using Damus offline, and it could replace the underlying implementation of the postbox feature where events are queued to be published and broadcast when connections with other relays are down.
Don’t let that smile fool you. He kills the younglings and turns to Nostr in episode 3.

The best part is that I already bank with Chase. 🤡 let’s fast forward to the part where I lose all my money already
Oh, fuck. I have a checking account and a mortgage at First Republic. What do I do? 😬
New awesome idea we spoke about amongst the devs earlier today which I won’t spill the beans on 😎
There’s also a bug here for me too. When I tap into an English note with translation service enabled but auto translations off and my preferred language set to English, it shows me the Translate Note button but it should actually be hidden away since it’s in my list of preferred languages.
Right, but it also depends on the list of preferred languages in your settings. Can you share yours? Here’s mine.
translate from those languages*
Can you also confirm what the list of preferred languages are in your iOS settings? Is English there? We don’t translate to those languages because we assume you understand those languages.
#[3] This code hasn’t changed in a while. When you say the same problem arises with any service, do you mean you’ve tried LibreTranslate, DeepL, and NoKYCTranslate? Or that you tried different LibreTranslate? The default LibreTranslate servers are pretty bad and I’ll probably remove them soon. Also, translations are cached, so if Damus failed to get the translation for a particular note, switching to a different service wouldn’t actually retry the translation request for that note. I also want to add automatic request retries so that a single translation request failure doesn’t necessarily ruin the experience. But having more information from you would help us debug further.
For situations like this, maybe Damus could backup and cache your profile, follows, and relay list. If it detects that it’s since been changed (possibly by a bad client in an unwanted way), it could warn you and give the option to revert back if necessary.
Haven’t looked into it yet but if there’s an API, there’s possibility for integration.
Have you tried coding?
Welcome to Nostr! Which app are you using?
