Looks like you kicked the hornest nest lmao
just made my own fork of 4chan that works on nostr since 4chan always had issues with jannies, and it even got censored for me in australia for a while. perfect site for it.

This is awesome.
Maybe pow will be useful for it.
We agree, though I also happen to think that when comparing species "most adapted" == "best". What other metrics do you use to judge "best" for species?
Let the best species win

pow fixes this
You can pay to launch hundreds of vms to look for pow if you want it fast. https://powrelay.xyz
Maybe it could adjust based on what you've seen. Something like: if everyone you follow has pow ≥ 16 then only show 17+ but if everyone you follow has ≥0 then even 8+ is unusual.
This is the highest number of zeroes I've seen is 44. Apparently that took mroe than 92 days!

I think there's a worry that it will privilage beefy desktop users over phone users, and then gpu users → fpga enthusiasts → asic enjoyers and so on. But I don't see a problem with that since it'll just cause a market to spin up and pow will be priced competitively.
Very instersting. My guess would be the only way to have trustless, decentralized voting (what you'd need for a nostr stacker.news) is pow or some yet undiscovered solution to the web of trust problem.
You and #[0] are dominating the daily feed on https://powrelay.xyz

I agree with this. Though, I think "reusable pow" has a technical meaning that doesn't fit here.
PoW can help you sort through notes to discover new people to follow, but once you already know someone, it's not necessary anymore; and in that sense it's "reusable".
Whoa, this is great. This is what I was hoping for, in order to mix it with https://t.me/nuestr_clj's per-relay feed view.

Thanks! Seems a lot of people have lost interest in proof of work (I guess the concensus is it won't be great for spam prevention) but I still think it could be good for discovery / sorting.
