Bitcoin is a one way door 🚪
Salud! 🍻
Clearly this is psychopathic behavior 😜

Best beer I’ve ever had was in Prague. I’ll never forget it.
Hahah. I did watch that and the analogy of bitcoin using the electrical grid to turn into a global state machine was a wild concept. I still feel like there could be an application for global to use PoW notes but maybe I need to sit down to think about it more. Do you think there’s no place for NIP-13 then?
I could see that being an issue in HashCash’s email use case, but couldn’t it work for global where people say they want a PoW of x level and only see posts above that level? Not everything I post needs to be a certain PoW and not everyone has to require the same level of PoW on their global feed.
Cooking 🥩 on carbon steel tonight 🔥
Define “non-reusable”?
Hm, I still have hope for global. I’m really liking the idea of PoW notes to broadcast notes to the world. You can set a base amount of work required for it to populate your feed. There’s also the web of trust approach that could be an additional factor or completely separate.
Ohh! I didn’t realize it was bits, should’ve read the documentation more🤦♂️
Great! I actually like that more because it offers more granularity vs work required for a vanity pub key for example. I could definitely see it being a viable solution. A few seconds to post > spam, at least in the context of global.

Hm, I’m only seeing 5 leading zeros for that post? Unless I’m misunderstanding.
I did, I also restarted the application and created a new key pair. No dice. Are you able to do it successfully?
I’m trying to better understand it by using Gossip but I note IDs aren’t being generated with leading zeros 😕 (using another account)
Could a solution to global (universe?) be to require note PoW using NIP-13?
At the moment I think memes are what’s driving the most amount of zaps. Development/updates from well known figures in the space would come second I think.
Also trying to figure that out as I’d like to build something here on the side 😄
Side note, currently drinking Gerolsteiner after I saw you recommended it. I give it a 👍
Hm, why’s that though? Aren’t the signing devices storing keys derived from the seed phrases of the multisig? And if you have the essential metadata for the multisig, you could theoretically only store the essential metadata and the n number of seed phrases and in the future get new signing devices with keys generated from imputing the seed phrases to then sign a multisig transaction.
Unless I’m misunderstanding something?
Is verifying and upgrading signer firmware relevant if you backup the seed phrases and the metadata?
I send myself a DM with a small note just mentioning what the post is about! Damus is coming out with better bookmark functionality soon I believe
