There are some tools in Linux (arch & Debian) that might recover some data.

When they go wrong its generally the bin.

Question:

Does baptism cause an ontological change in the baptized? If so, what is that change?

Answer:

An ontological change means a change of the very essence of a being. Since baptism permanently configures us to Christ, yes, it brings an ontological change. This is why the Church insists there can be only one baptism: once the ontological change takes place it cannot be repeated.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church:

1265 Baptism not only purifies from all sins but also makes the neophyte “a new creature,” an adopted son of God, who has become a “partaker of the divine nature,” member of Christ and co-heir with him, and a temple of the Holy Spirit.

No, baptism does not cause an ontological change. Being born again (born of the spirit) can cause an ontological change.

Baptism is an outward act of faith in Jesus.

Its Jesus who cleanses & forgives us by paying the price on the cross.

Its all quite clear in the bible.

And with all that going on, the stars have remained in the same place for 1000's of years... 🤔🤔

Our spirit is immortal. To live is with Christ ( born of the spirit - born again), to die is to live forever without Christ.

Our bodies will die, but when jesus returns, we will be raised up with new bodies.

What are "priestly powers"? I don't see that in the bible.

Not all Christians believe that baptism (or citizenship) creates a super-race, probably only a subset Catholics. Our bodies remain the same but our spirit & our mind changes, & thats what makes a difference. Why? Because now we live in the kingdom of light, not the kingdom of darkness.

Still daytime here. Installing windoz - man its painful! (First time in 10 years!)

Diner with family - discuss end times scripture, read then bed... 🤔☺️

I'm good thank you Marie. How's you doin'?
