You get there, they are throwing dough in the air, the salad bar is full and there is a new pinball machine next to the sit down Galaga, Mrs. Pacman and Space Invaders Machines. "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straits is thumping on the Juke Box.

In walks your best friend and his family who is sat one table away from you. You push the tables together, dad orders two pitchers of beer and you know this will go on for 2-3 hours.

Dad puts down a 35 bucks at the end of the night, which includes a 7 dollar tip to the server.

Also nothing stopping you from starting your own firm and paying yourself whatever you can earn. But hey, blaming the invisible boogeyman for the sake of racial division probably pays more and is far easier than pounding the pavement to get clients.

How advanced, or what types of advancement, would it take to convince you to get a cybernetic brain implant in the future?

-Substantially improves a major disability (blindness, paralysis, brain damage, etc)

-Boosts sensory abilities beyond normal (eyesight, hearing, etc).

-Boosts IQ or some other meaningful metric of intelligence and computation, thereby increasing your competitiveness in multiple fields. Becomes basically necessary for some fields due to many others doing it.

-Lets you enter VR with all five senses in a way that feels like 80-90% realistic but can be any environment/context. People make increasingly awe-inspiring virtual experiences/worlds, only accessible this way.

-Substantially increases the bandwidth with which you can interface with computers. Like, lets you download a ton of info quickly.

One time I went with a bunch of friends to a famous old mosque, known for its rich history and architecture. It’s built on top of Saladin’s fortress.

Women have to cover their heads with scarves in mosques, so I bought one of those out front.

The problem was, I was wearing my prescription sunglasses, and had lost my normal eyeglasses. So I kept my sunglasses on to see properly inside, and the combo made me look like some wannabe discount rapper or something.
